The Arabic 1 is the normal variety, the Roman I or inverted 1 over 1 (arabic) is or are, depending on whether these are 1 or 2 varieties),  much rarer, but not exceptionally rare.
I'm surprised they deem fit to mention the arabic 1 on the label as it's the normal variety.

Baldwin's have a1863 sov with Arabic figure 1 over an inverted Arabic 1 giving the impression of a Roman 1 for £650. They had one with the Roman 1 a couple of weeks ago at £1,000. Not sure if the more expensive one relates to it being rarer. I'm sure someone on the forum will know.

Fellow forumite and sovereign lover (I hope), I have never and will never claim any authority concerning sovereigns or anything else for that matter. I like to think I know more than a little about sovereigns and am happy to freely give my opinions whether welcome or not!
It is for others to decide whether my words have any merit or otherwise and act upon them as they see fit. I am always happy to be contradicted and will be the first to admit when I am wrong. At least I think I will but as it hasn't happened yet, I don't really know
If people on here think others know more than me about soveriegns, that is fine by me and I am happy to learn from them also.
You will certainly not upset or offend me by claiming other people deserve the title of "authority" rather than me.

How could a coin that old remain in that condition?
