  1. @StackemHigh you've been very unlucky with the 1oz QB proofs then, re the lunars I remember the 1oz horse being a shocker for spotting that's why I never bothered with that series.
  2. IMHO your friend has just been given coins that have been sent back by other customers, there is no way that they have been re struck & checked unless RM are still being politically correct & are recruiting from the local blind school again.
  3. @StackemHigh which silver proofs 1oz queens beasts?
  4. @Touvex I've got the full set in NGC holders all are mint, re milking the 1oz silver proof graded or otherwise have been pretty problem free, the 2oz Bu's on the other hand are not that good.
  5. @silenceissilver property not much chance of hiding that, but the rest f--k them & that goes for the UK if they ever start something like that. I can waste my own money if I want I don't need the EU or government to do it for me.
  6. No idea it's just an observation I've made over the last 4 years or so.
  7. As a keen collector of graded QB sets I have noticed the worst coins in the 2oz series(graded) for spotting are the Bull followed by the Dragon you very rarely see any spots on the others. Just checked mine & thankfully they're all good.
  8. What have you bought the set for? if its for your own pleasure I'd keep it at that,2 faulty coins not ideal but you have 8 good ones. If you are trying to make money out of it grade the 8 good ones & sell individually. Someone will always buy a unique graded coin.
  9. Awful simply awful, I simply don't understand how they can't do this 2oz set without milk spots they managed pretty well with the 1oz silver proofs.
  10. Looks right to me, silver bullion bars & to a lesser extent bullion coins can have slight colouration differences.

@morzone @trp Any chance of locking this mods. everyone has had their say anymore comments serve no purpose.
  12. I've done it before for paid up members with no problems, I don't mind taking payments over 3-6 months for anything I sell over £500 or for a 10% deposit I'll hold anything for 3 months.
  13. Yeah, but if you do grade it & it gets a 69 that's fine. If it gets anything less you can always take it out of the slab.
  14. Yeah I know a dodgy seller on ebay that definitely does not highlight milk spots or other faults & has or had a 2oz 10 coin set for sale.
  15. @Seaview Re the 10oz Una bars they are a limited edition of 6100 bars worldwide & they are currently out of stock at RM. 1oz bullion coins appear to be unlimited mintage & previously when RM stated mintages( top secret now) the mintages of 1oz silver Britannia coins often ran into over one hundred thousand coins for a particular year.
  16. If I were you with just one bad coin, I'd do exactly what you intend grade them, there are always people who just want one individual coin(if you decide to sell) or you could as you suggest pick up the one bad coin you need down the line, might be a long wait though with such a low mintage. The simple solution for the RM would be to let customers only send their bad coins in for replacement as certain purchasers will just want a refund. That will give RM a lot of good coins from the sets that come back to send to exiting customers that want replacements. For example if someone that has 1 or 2 bad coins that leaves 8 as replacements to send out. Although IMHO that would be too simple for RM to contemplate.
  17. @Happypanda88 Yeah agree there pal the only one I bought was the sheep proof which I like & still have but the rest are IMHO pretty poor. It's a shame for collectors but even the mighty Perth mint have dropped certain size lunars over the years, very annoying but I suppose it's just business for the mints, collectors are just a nuisance to them lol.
  18. Just received this beauty the 2oz completer which is not a completer lol. I'm very pleased there are no milk spots although the screw cap was loose ffs (how hard is it to tighten a plastic cap) luckily the coin was OK. As a collector I feel gutted for you guys who have got the 10 coin set with problems, this should not be happening to a premium set grrr.
  19. Milk spots ffs what a real shame for you guys that bought the 2oz set. I hope RM come through for you, maybe some of the people who send sets back for a refund RM customer service may cherry pick the good coins from returns & send decent sets back to those that want a replacement. I cannot for the life of me think when RM allegedly inspect the coins before casing them up how those coins with milk spots get through, unless they have been trawling the local blind school again for recruits.
  20. I think you could be right the diameter is 22mm same as existing 1/4oz gold proofs & IMHO for a unique set of QBs they are/were cheap as chips. They will be chunky little beasts. I never ordered a set myself as I have all the QBs I want.
  21. Lol who knows with RM their releases seem very random.
  22. @Zhorro beat me to it @rlingford but for sure there will be a 10 oz bullion version of the completer.
