If you're going to buy a 2oz piece of gold that's not CGT-exempt then you better actually want it. If you love the coin and want to keep it then sure. The same applies to the 1oz bar
As an investment the 2023 QEII is likely to be a better choice, it's also a lot more liquid
Will you have trouble shifting a 2oz coin at the same premium you paid for it from that website? Probably. Take a look around the forum, there are some beautiful 1oz coins going for around spot. If gold keeps rising the current trend is for premiums to go down, perhaps even slightly negative in some cases (spot + free RMSD)
If you bought that 2oz coin today and tried to sell it tomorrow, it's possible you'd be looking at a £200-270 loss

I planned to buy some gold in about a month's time, but the price of gold has sharply increased over the past few weeks. What I've been wondering is if the price of gold stays high, will it still be worth buying gold? Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on this. There is always the the possibility that the price might drop slightly at some point. Likewise, the price of gold might stay high or perhaps go up even more.

The price of gold was high in 2017 , seven years on £900 for a 1oz QB Dragon doesn't seem so bad after all .

I started buying at £1250/oz when it went to circa £1350 it goes through your mind the price is high but I kept buying….to see it then hit £1450 and again it makes you think “I’ll wait on it dropping before i take another plunge” I didn’t wait kept buying and buying all through the 1550’s and 1650’s and now we’re near £1750.
If you look at gold over the last 10 years it’s jumped 116% even if it drops soon I’d keep buying, if it rises the same.

Yes they're definitely fake.
Firstly, it's £750 for 2 gold bars, there's no way that 2 oz of gold is worth £750. 
Secondly, genuine Perth Mint bars have a mat finish. Those look too glossy to be genuine.
