    SOTD sovereigns

Can't see them missing out on the 5th anniversary of the coronation. An excuse to roll out the crowned portrait. Or am I just sceptical? But that's a few years down the line. I know what you mean about this year but they'll not miss an opportunity to sell a SOTD. The margin on them must be high given the price structure.

    SOTD sovereigns

Any ideas for this year's SOTD? Can't see RM missing out on the opportunity to make some money?
  3. They're proofs but with a base metal option.
  4. 80s James Bond on sale this morning.
  5. Reality was somewhat different as pre-war silver coins weren't circulated as the metal value was above the face value. I remember in the 1960s you could get a penny in your change with a Victoria Old Head to an Elizabeth Young Head, although the former were very well worn.
  6. I think I read somewhere that Token Publishers were planning an update to the booklet which will be downloadable.
  7. Sounds promising. Thanks for sharing what you can. Looks like RM might have got the mood of the market right.
  8. Agree. Whilst showing out of stock also indicates £136.06 when they return.
  9. https://www.olympic-museum.de/w_medals/olympic-games-winner-medal-1964.php This says the gold medal is 103 gr of gilt silver but doesn't have your design.
  10. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/exonumia220826.html Hope it's of help.
  11. £55 below issue price. Still not selling despite being the only 2023 sovereign with an uncrowned head.
  12. Even the double bullion doesn't do it justice.
  13. Suspect it will be like this crown rather than the 1817/2017 sovereign. https://www.allcoinvalues.com/united-kingdom/1819-uk-crown-value2c-george-iii2c-lix.html
  14. I think St George has a sword rather than a broken lance in his hand.
  15. I followed your link and you were right. 🧐 Can the mole please own up. 😂
  16. BBP advertising the double. Headline price is a few pence more than RM but when postage is taken into account BBP is cheaper.
  17. I wish they'd be consistent and use the same image on all the sovereign range. Not bothered which one.
  18. Suppose they have to find the owner first before any finder's fee. If they don't find them will he get the lot returned to him?
  19. Last couple of years the RM has tended to keep the double sovereign as an exclusive.
  20. I think the gold Buckingham Palace looks a lot better than the base metal version. However the £2 Churchill with different colours of gold looks like he has jaundice.
  21. Listed as pre-sale presently.
  22. His wife is Australian. She will be queen!
  23. They don't have a coronation in Denmark. As their new queen is an Aussie perhaps the Perth mint will issue a special coin.
  24. I see Atkinsons are taking orders tomorrow for the sovereign. Don't know if they are officially issued tomorrow as it says pre:order.
