  1. I buy 1/10oz due to the price, rather than the premium. They are a bit small, but I can still see the detail on them...in good daylight next to a window anyway. 😄 I made the mistake of buying a 1/8th Sovereign last year, can't really see much on that. Have no intentions of buying smaller than a 1/10oz again. I've had a bit extra spare over the past few months, so bought 1/4oz instead of tenths...bit easier to see, but due to the way circle area works, not as bigger difference as I was expecting. I'm still buying more for a collection though, so not fussed about investment. I do think they're good value for money bought brand new - especially when compared to the premium on brand new 1oz silver.
  2. I don't consider 50k to be low mintage. Would need to be less than 10k for me. Though I don't think the Beskar bar is interesting enough to warrant a premium at all. (I did buy one though lol). I've got dragon bars from previous years but not keen on this years design. As someone suggested above, just buy what you like...pop culture changes over time. Mandalorian might all be forgotten about in 5 years time.
  3. Have you got a link to register? I do like a minted bar...
  4. I know which I'd prefer in my pocket... 😄
  5. I am keeping an eye on eBay too. Just hoping I might find one in better condition & at a lower price on here than on there. 🙂
  6. It is a genuine site, they also have an eBay shop which I've used once or twice. minted-uk on eBay (I have no link to them, name is just coincidental lol)
  7. I could be interested in the 1868 Franc. Can I ask if it was purchased from a reputable dealer or been confirmed as genuine during your ownership? Hopefully no offence caused but I looked at one on eBay before and quickly realised there were some fakes about so left it.
  8. Now looking for 1953 Canada dollar. 🙂
  9. As seen in the 'coming soon' thread, there's a 1/10th gold Koala being released next month. BBP already has a page for them. I'm hoping one of the more affordable UK dealers will get them in a little cheaper. 🙂 2023 1/10oz Gold Koala Coin | BullionByPost - From £191.70
  10. Did you take the address from the email or from the selling page? I had a couple of incorrect addresses shown on the email last year. Presumably the default address instead of the buyers desired address for that item. Since then I always double check the page before ordering postage.
  11. I wonder if that's why some of the 2023 Sov's look so flat? If they've been pressed into another blank I assume that would soften the details on the first coin! 🤔
  12. Argos is an eBay collection point. That's used for people who can't accept deliveries at home for any reason. They can collect from Argos at any time.
  13. Sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the VAT exemption code is 03005. The commodity code for gold coins is 7118 9000 00. Use the phrase 'investment gold coin' in the description if you want it to pass through customs easily. Commodity code 7118900000: Other - UK Integrated Online Tariff - GOV.UK (trade-tariff.service.gov.uk)
  14. I've been after a 2oz QB for a while. 10oz looks great but out of my reach I'm afraid. However, if you do withdraw the 10oz and would like to sell that small bar separately, feel free to message me a price. 🙂
  15. I've been waiting for the next Bond coin, will be interested to see the design of that one. 🙂 Was hoping there'd be another Bond bar produced by now as well! (PS - thanks! Run out of reactions for today lol.)
  16. I've read a few threads on here about this happening lately. Seems to be quite a few banks. And quite a few retailers. Has made me very cautious about trying to buy from a 'new' site now, or even sellers on here. I'm hoping accounts I've paid before wouldn't suddenly become blocked. I have recently opened a dispute with my bank about a retailer (not ATS lol, this one wasn't my fault!) and I am now wondering if that may cause other peoples payments from my bank to that retailer to get blocked during or after the resolution period. 🤔
  17. If you're just selling to a dealer for around spot price then it shouldn't matter. If selling privately, I find 1oz silver and 1/10th gold sells easiest, presumably down to affordability. Anything with a great design & quality should sell easily - Perth mint & China Panda's for example. Pop culture can sell well but maybe not by the time your sons inherit them so best to stick to animals instead.
  18. Given that this site benefits from advertising and memberships, I think they'd prefer that we did talk about it! 😄
  19. Bump for non premium members.
  20. Well, that's got to be the worst design of this series so far. 😐
  21. Even without the error, the finish on these is pretty rough, I've seen quite a few milky ones already as well. Shame as it's meant to be a nice reminder of a one-off occasion, as opposed to something like a Brit that looks the same for years on end. They should have asked Perth mint to produce them! 😄 Would probably have added a nice frosted background to make the design pop too!
  22. I had to laugh at a homemade COA I was provided with last year. Bought the coin as it was cheap enough to gamble on. The COA is literally just a business card with a copy & paste image and a random signature, plus a holographic sticker that can be bought in their hundreds from eBay or Amazon. The seller couldn't even be bothered to use the correct sized capsule, it's massively oversized. The coin itself does appear to be genuine, but if I ever get a Sigma, I won't be surprised if it isn't. I like a COA from well known retailers in a box with a proof coin, but for anything else, I don't put any faith in a COA. I also have a few autographs with homemade COA's and wouldn't trust those either.
