Unless my brain did one of it's things I specifically didn't pick up any mention of a bullion Sovereign.

So either I missed the mention or their wasn't one... and if that's the case did RM Marketing Man forget to mention it in his spiel or might their simply not be one?

    Answers on a postcard please...

I do hope there will be a bullion Sovereign, been waiting ages for the 2023 release.

  2. I’m planning to get the 2023 bullion Sovereign (when released). Is it possible to request a pristine example when ordering from @ChardsCoinandBullionDealer ?  or are the standards already high (sovereign condition quality/their stock) and therefore won’t be a need for me to do that?

I previously bought the 2022 Platinum Jubilee Sovereign from the Royal Mint and it arrived fine, but I’m considering to purchase from Chards in the future.

    Thanks.

My assumption is that it will coincide with the Coronation and be the bullion version of whatever design they come up with for the Proof.

I highly doubt they will do a bullion version of the Coronation Sovereign PLUS a standard G&D bullion Sovereign this year. That’d be overkill, even for the RM. 😆

So no G&D again for 2023? How about G&D with a privy mark - maybe the King Charles III Royal cypher?

İt was without, unless I'm blind and missed an obvious removal area. I don't have it anymore, but I regret parting with it now

That looks quite clean and I don’t see an obvious sign of loop removal, could have been without from the start.

Here’s my Ata Lira gold bullion I had a loop put on and a 🇹🇷 made on the other side (in 22ct, same as the coin) done way back in 2008.

Turkish jewellers sometimes solder these Ata Lira coins onto rings, but I think a ring mount without solder would be much better, like Sovereign rings.

  5. I wonder which month the 2023 will be available?

There was a note on the Royal Mint website saying the Memorial Sovereign (2022) bullion would be available at the end of January but it has since disappeared after the text of the deadline date to order the proof versions was added.

So looking at the jubilee design against the memorial design and I'm curious to know which one people prefer..... personally I think the jubilee is nicer to be honest.

Agreed. The Jubilee is a cleaner design - too much going on in the memorial version in my opinion.

I feel the Jubilee design gracefully presents the Coat of Arms…

Very good question. Where did you get the info from that the 2022 bullion version won’t be released till next year?

It says on the Royal Mint website that the bullion Memorial Sovereign will be available to order in January.
