  1. It could be repaired possibly, another option would be to turn it into a curved sovereign ring, heating and shaping it accordingly.
  2. Going live soon on their site and will be available in branch also.
  3. Are Sharps Pixley likely to be stocking the Sovereign? I was planning to get one in person from their branch. Nothing on their site at the moment.
  4. I believe it’s still on the half Sovereigns though…
  5. I too am waiting and hoping for a Crowned Bullion Sovereign… and my ring mount is ready 😄
  6. Here’s a good jeweller if you’re interested in sovereign jewellery: https://www.miltonsdiamonds.com/search/sovereign#sort7 I’ve seen some unique items there, like this previously sold sovereign locket:
  7. I think sovereign jewellery is beautiful. I enjoy looking at the different mounts both for rings and pendants - there’s some really interesting and unique examples sometimes. This recently sold on eBay which I think is lovely for a ladies piece.
  8. I do hope there will be a bullion Sovereign, been waiting ages for the 2023 release.
  9. Very happy for the return of G&D. Any predictions for bullion release date?
  10. I’m planning to get the 2023 bullion Sovereign (when released). Is it possible to request a pristine example when ordering from @ChardsCoinandBullionDealer ? or are the standards already high (sovereign condition quality/their stock) and therefore won’t be a need for me to do that? I previously bought the 2022 Platinum Jubilee Sovereign from the Royal Mint and it arrived fine, but I’m considering to purchase from Chards in the future. Thanks.
  11. So no G&D again for 2023? How about G&D with a privy mark - maybe the King Charles III Royal cypher?
  12. That looks quite clean and I don’t see an obvious sign of loop removal, could have been without from the start. Here’s my Ata Lira gold bullion I had a loop put on and a 🇹🇷 made on the other side (in 22ct, same as the coin) done way back in 2008. Turkish jewellers sometimes solder these Ata Lira coins onto rings, but I think a ring mount without solder would be much better, like Sovereign rings.
  13. You’ll find the Ziynet coins will come with a loop as standard, the idea being people ‘stack’ them onto a cord, building up their investment. Where as the ‘Ata Lira’ gold coins don’t have a loop usually. Did your Ziynet coin have the loop removed or did you manage to get one without?
  14. Jewellery made from the Ziynet coins are a tradition in itself 🇹🇷👍🏼
  15. Will there be a 2023 dated sovereign?
  16. Any predictions regarding the month of release for the 2023 bullion sovereign?
  17. I wonder which month the 2023 will be available? There was a note on the Royal Mint website saying the Memorial Sovereign (2022) bullion would be available at the end of January but it has since disappeared after the text of the deadline date to order the proof versions was added.
  18. Agreed. The Jubilee is a cleaner design - too much going on in the memorial version in my opinion. I feel the Jubilee design gracefully presents the Coat of Arms…
  19. It says on the Royal Mint website that the bullion Memorial Sovereign will be available to order in January. In the ‘register interest’ section.
