  1. take off the tinfoil silver hat and recycle it. every little helps 🤣
  2. no idea. depends how you also define recycled https://www.statista.com/statistics/1231248/recycled-silver-volume-worldwide/ https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/23/fashion/jewelry-recycled-gold.html
  3. according to a quick search, they already recycle about 55% of silver against 20% of gold. if china is squealing about something being unfair, they mean to them. F888 them. on a wider note, the more recycling of tech the better. the amount of increasingly rare elements in phones / tablets etc being thrown away is going to bite us very soon. even if its only 0.1g of it, the price tipping point will come at some point where its easier and cheaper to break old stuff down than dig it out. But back to silver, just get folk to give up all the old golf trophies, knives, forks, retirement platters..............
  4. am i really the first to get the coronation sov? the faint marks are on the capsules, not the coins, and as far as i can see changing the angle in the light, there are no obvious dinks, dings, missing bits etc. so looking good. ( from BCC ) sorry for the pics.
  5. got my single sov from bcc this morning. makes a change waiting 7 months!
  6. cheers. saved me a few quid and got the dispatch email this afternoon.

phone your bank asap! i think you are outside the time limit but if you say that they have delayed you making the claim due to them promising delayed delivery you might get away with it.
  8. never fully got the love of of £5 for some reason. got a couple but they were part of a set - james bond, and like millions of others got the qe2 silver jubilee one. whats the guiness one?
  9. as far as i know there arent any dealers like chards etc where you can just walk in. there may be jewellers who happen to sell a limited range of coins. but the prices wont be great as its a sidline for them. a local pawn shop to me is selling 1oz silver brits for £40. tbh, you are probably better buying here or online from chards/bleyer/bullion by post etc
  10. big shout out to a top bloke and thanks again for bringing them round. hope the mrs wasnt too heavy on the credit card!
  11. i'll take the 1886. nice toning starting on it.
  12. depends on the level of premium. its like the whole PPI/insurance commission thing. the courts decided there was an excess level that could lead to refunds. hence the ambulance chasers. cant wait for everyone on the board to sign up to an advert going "MISSOLD SILVER? PAID TOO MUCH PREMIUM? CALL US NOW ON 0800 XXXXxxx or WWW.WE WILL CHARGE YOU 75% OF OUR WINNINGS.COM 🤣
  13. might be better off on facebook groups like the check your change one, a few have been on there along with the coronation medal for between £35-£45. So you might get lucky and get just the syo for £20ish https://www.facebook.com/groups/checkyourchange
  14. @BackyardBullion is your man
  15. fixed that for you
  16. thats the number of times they had to redo it before it coould be sent out. 🤣
  17. and the different threads... maybe some more merging by mods is required?
  18. and star wars mint mark. oh bugger. just given them an idea 🤬
  19. thinks its a normal coronation sov, that photo is from the link above https://www.royalmint.com/shop/monarch/charles-iii/coronation/ryi-sovereign/ but since its RM. it could well be a special matte bullion proof
