  1. Not particularly unless they are rated rare, a 1915S is rated common. May get a fiver more if someone needs it for a date run but otherwise no extra premium. Were I selling that on here I would be asking £185 maximum to slightly undercut the cheapest best value half sovereign from a dealer which is currently £187.37 from Britannia Coins. If the coin is in particularly nice condition, i.e. better than bullion price would go up accordingly
  2. https://auctions.thecoincabinet.com/lots/view/4-3DD571/1937-gold-sovereign-proof-ngc-pf-66-cameo-2076670-041-agw02355-oz £5250 from just over a year ago
  3. Notice the price of the 1oz proof has gone down to £95 today, Apparently the people who signed up for the 10 coin pre-order were complaining as they were also charged the £110 it was on release. RM said price had gone up as they have added an inscription around the edge (which by the look of the website is only on the 1oz) but after complaints they have dropped the price to £95 for all. Anyone who had the higher amount taken will get a refund
  4. Hello and welcome, you have come to the right place
  5. Best one in the set along with the dragon and yale (IMO), and a great set to work on now they are below retail a lot of the time
  6. Arrived today courtesy of @LiquidMetalsUK Very pleased with this
  7. Everything that's been mentioned (especially sellers who wont post to Ghana) plus blurry pictures on coins, and when you ask for better pictures you are ghosted, or they send more blurry pictures, same thing with marks on coins and asking if they are on the coin or capsule
  8. Hi and welcome, You will have realised already despite this being the SILVER forum there are as many if not more gold bugs than silver enthusiasts. If you intend to continue stacking silver you will find it considerably cheaper on here than anywhere else. Lots of full tubes around the £550 mark. Silver is a speculative investment for me and I do not buy it in quantity, but hold some just for diversity. I don't ever stress about where spot is at, I buy what Gold I can when I can afford it, maintaining my cost average as others have already mentioned, but I also make sure I have a reserve of fiat just in case of emergencies. You only lose on Gold when you sell it and mine is for the long term. I do sell on here but generally only to fund larger purchases of different PM's. There are multiple others who do the same as well as a lot of dealers who will sell on here too. If gold follows the same pattern as in previous recessions it should dip when things start getting bad, but then there is little typical about how markets have been in the past few years. Without a crystal ball I think it is anyone's guess. But personally I think any dip will be short lived.
  9. Isn't that Claudia Quinta chilling in the seat
  10. Way the grounds been everything I get grunts on the backswing like its iron whatever the initial read is, had about 30 of them last Sunday, in the end dug one and it was a belt buckle quite a nice one - what else did I miss Was too tired at that point to go back over the ground
  11. Nice, I might head out this weekend, had no luck recently because of how dry the ground has been, plays havoc with my Simplex
  12. Tried two more times to checkout with the 5 sov, seems to be having a wobble, wondering if they have sold out but the front end has not updated for some reason I was kind of 50/50 on this anyway so will take that as a sign
  13. It let me order one, but no confirmation email and nothing in order history - usual RM website rubbish
  14. Pre orders are up at chards and Britannia, had emails in the last few minutes, link for chards: http://track.chards.co.uk/track/click/31081270/www.chards.co.uk?p=eyJzIjoidE5ZN09pN3JuRjFGalJ5Rm1CT084OEJ5eUQ0IiwidiI6MSwicCI6IntcInVcIjozMTA4MTI3MCxcInZcIjoxLFwidXJsXCI6XCJodHRwczpcXFwvXFxcL3d3dy5jaGFyZHMuY28udWtcXFwvMjAyMi1waWVkZm9ydC1nb2xkLXByb29mLXNvdmVyZWlnbi1wbGF0aW51bS1qdWJpbGVlXFxcLzE2MzQ4P3V0bV9zb3VyY2U9c3RvY2stYWxlcnQtZW1haWwmdXRtX21lZGl1bT1lbWFpbCZ1dG1fY2FtcGFpZ249c3RvY2tfYWxlcnRcIixcImlkXCI6XCI5MjlmM2U5YjVmMDU0NWQ2YWY3NjQzNzg5NzJhODdlZlwiLFwidXJsX2lkc1wiOltcImUwZGY0OWE1MzNkODZjMzliY2IzMzVhYzMyMjU4YjExNmI3NjcwNGFcIl19In0
  15. 2017 Privy Mark and an 1874M in the post today
  16. I have a big bag of RM screw capsules in my accessories box I think, I don't use them as I like the airtite ringed capsules. Would have to see how many I have but more than willing to part with them, wont even charge you £16 each either PM me if you want me to dig them out
  17. Welcome onboard matey, everything I would say has already been said, would just emphasis buying silver from BBP is an expensive way to stack, and fleabay has many a pitfall. I am currently selling off most (but not all) of my stack of 1oz-10oz silver coins and bars to concentrate on 1kg bars, so have quite a few bargains up for grabs. Some stuff already posted but if you want to drop me a PM happy to let you know what I have left. Also a lot of other silver bargains up on the forum at the moment including some 2oz Tudors from @Oliman which I am hoping sell soon as they are tempting even me who is in the middle of selling off silver coins Good luck on your journey, you will soon realise you have picked a quite addictive past-time. I find it helps to always bear in mind your not really spending money, just upgrading its format 🤔
  18. Yes mate, have dropped you a PM
  19. I would happily have a conversation about swopping 65oz of my 999 file silver for 1oz of 999 fine Gold should anyone be interested
  20. Price difference is because of rarity and possibly condition, three I bought were all ones that are hard to find and quite low mintages. Atkinsons do guarantee any sovereigns to be of a certain quality and never had one from them that I was unhappy with.
  21. Same, I did hesitate when they came up but somewhere on the advert it does say its not a photo of the actual items. Took a chance in the end as I have been after these for a while and I had sold a few bits on here this last week and had money burning a hole in my pocket. Quite please with them.
  22. I bought three of them, they arrived this morning and there are pictures of them on the 'today I received' page. The pictures on Atkinsons are generic stock pictures, not the coins you receive I believe Not the best pictures, just screen grabs from the Today I received page. These are all Sydney shields I needed for a date run
