  1. Doing well to find a branch of any bank these days.
  2. I just hope he took no notice of those telling him to take a haircut just to convert to coins.
  3. Ah, but that was just transitory inflation.
  4. The part that jumped out at me was when the narrator described them as being "fine gold mixed with copper".
  5. I was thinking Kinesis looked ideal for this purpose but the virtual visa seems to have a limit of $500, so useless for buying gold, and the withdrawal fee to GBP is £25 - ouch. So other than bouncing funds around via crypto, no thank you, I can't see it working efficiently for me.
  6. Always amused when people describe Manchester as being north England. I live in England and need to travel some 200 odd miles south to get to Manc. As far as I'm concerned Manchester is in the north of the Midlands.
  7. Definitely not for me. I struggle to remember one password, 24 words? No chance.
  8. Are sovs particularly attractive to overseas buyers? Versus fractional 24ct gold for example?
  9. You're tipping your hairdresser double what it costs me to get my haircut. 😁
  10. My lad has a birthday coming up, does anyone know of a Minecraft themed bar or coin? Seems to me that it would be an obvious theme but I can't seem to find such a creature.
  11. Love those @StBeesSilver pieces. I'm going to have to get me some of those. He's not too far from me as it happens.
  12. Does anyone use desiccants or other other such products in their storage?
  13. Kinda hard to hide land though.
  14. So much this. There is absolutely no need to shift those bars at a loss right now for the sake of future liquidity. Sit tight.
  15. I was thinking about getting one of these for my son, but not with the quality like that. It's no good them claiming "it's only bullion" on a bar clearly marketed with numismatic value in mind.
  16. Dunno what those things are in my gun cabinet then? Guy in the shop told me they were guns. 😏
  17. I thought I recalled one of the dealers say that wasn't the case? On a different thread it was said they needed to know who they'd made such a sale to, in case of enquiries, but that there was no requirement to report the transaction to HMRC.
  18. Sell them on here for the best price I'd have thought.
  19. Owning 1 1/2Kg of gold is a nice problem to have. 😁
