  1. Your 1oz gold QB coins are 🔥 can i please buy the set from you once you are done collecting the 10?
  2. Just a topic for us to discuss, keen to hear thoughts of some of the veterans here as I've been asking myself this question. Tough for me as I love both, and, in fact, I only really stack/collect sovereigns and gold QBs. Here is a the convo starter. If you had 1.5-2k burning a hole in your pocket, would you spend it on: 1 - an old, relatively rare sovereign, such as 1820-ish AU58. A few on ebay recently went for around this price. 2 - a recent QB 1oz bullion dragon, lion, unicorn etc. around the above price depending on condition. I'm leaning towards the older sovereign. It just has more interest/history for me, and, I could be wrong, but also has more stability/proven value, and is less effected by gold spot? What do you say?
  3. The edgy really gives it away if you compared to the real one posted.
  4. Is it just me or is this price a little high? Are we selling too cheaply here on the forum 😂 I was even made aware of this by an email from RM no less!
  5. Beautiful sets @FlorinCollector and @Lindeman!!! You guys are making me super jealous with these... Let me know if there are any spares you have and want to shift my way please I have one kidney I can offer, or my GF/best friend if you prefer. Congrats!!!
  6. Thanks guys, have emailed my account manager... fingers crossed!
  7. Coming from a new collector/stacker myself, i would advise sovereigns, older sovereigns like other members have said. The main reasons for me are 1) they are kind of nice to collect with lots of different monarchs, years, and event various editions, the colour is also nice if you stay away from modern coper ones! 2) the main reason, they are super easy to liquidate, even for someone wanting to hold them for a long time to come, this is still an advantage, e.g. if you see a special coin you like and need cash, if you need cash at all. And when it comes to selling your stack. I have other coins that are much harder to move (even brits), but never have to worry about moving sovereigns. Hope this helps!
  8. Advice needed please. Just received this last week, and upon closer inspection - i see lots of tiny spots on the reverse of these 2 coins (added one without spots to show what it's meant to be, shiny...!) Kind of looks like air bubbles. I've never seen anything like this before. So was wondering if anyone know what these are? Just dust that can be cleaned or something else? Shall i return them? Though not sure they will be able to replace given the limited numbers. Thanks all!
  9. Migh buy one, as you say, just to not be empty handed
  10. is there anyway to get these from a dealer? or is it GG now for collectors hoping to get them at a decent price?
  11. But did you know it was getting released today? Or just check everyday?
  12. So disappointed with RM... just got the email from them and went on the website to see everything sold out. What's the point RM!? Are you guys getting heads up on releases like these else where? I know some dealers get a heads up, even this topic was only started a few hours ago...
  13. it looks like a manufacturing defect? NGC ignore those in PF70s, i have a few (other coins) in PF70 that have worth defects than that... love this coin by the way, i have 1 too
  14. Mine is actively stopping me form buying gold, while yours is BUYING you gold... she's a keeper! To be fair to my GF, i have a problem, she's just trying to help 😅
  15. Never thought I’d own one of these - it really is worth the hype - beautiful coin in person!! Thansk @matt1r Comes with TSF label too as a cherry on top!
  16. If you are new then I would say coins for sure, sovereigns are always a favourite here at TSF as they are easy to sell. If you are not sure what to buy, you really can't go wrong with sovereigns. The older sovereigns are also very nice and may even gain some numismatic value if you hold on to them for 20+ years - try and buy good condition even if it's bullion - on top of any gold value gain. I personally stack older sovereigns for these reasons. I also much prefer the looks of them compared to the new cooper look... Enjoy - you will soon be addicted!

  20. so true, just wish i had the cash, i'd bought the tube as i was looking at it for ages... cant believe even the tube is out, i looked at it a few days ago and it was in stock! it's not too late i think and i'm sure RM will produce another batch - especially if a few dealers like Chards are now doing pre-orders still.
  21. You can also buy a tube of 10 from Royal Mint - then sell 9 of them
