I think you should install a side bar into the premises with a free flowing tap for tsf members with all these pints being awarded,
it could be a genius marketing tool come to think of it, no one would be leaving empty handed after a few! 🤣

I know it’s a steep premium but some of the coins you pay a premium on the single coins, it’s for convenience if you didn’t care about the premium lol an expensive box mind.

I am not a good photographer.   I do my best when posting on TSF, but I know it’s not great.
But then….on ebay, I find sellers who apparently (possibly between other activities) rub their lens with Vaseline before taking photographs.
Today I present this Vaseline champion and the week.
I invite other entries, and think the forum should judge the “best”.

Vintage Johnson Matthey London 1 kilo bar,
lovely surprise when I came back from work and gym today,
the bar has a three digit serial after looking on the allengelhard site they only have 4 and 5 digit serials so it might be super old!
it also has a almost sparkly flakey finish you might be able to see in the pics.
 
 Any info is appreciated.

After 1964 they went to 40% silver rather than the 90% I’m not sure what year they stopped.
Also lovely $2 note you’ve got there.

Has these arrive more than a few days ago but only now time to get some family happy snaps. Also my first Sydney Mint sov which I was quite chuffed with.

Also purchased from Shlomo, this delightful sov holder. Naturally some wear on the exterior due to age, but the opening clip and internal spring both still solid and working...I thought, well if you are going to stack sov's, why not have a sov holder too.

As requested by @Orpster, the sheild (and St George) reverses of the Sovereigns that we traded on.

Got this from the coin connection for a very reasonable price ( sub £500 )
There are still (relative) bargains to be had out there.

You have got me broadening my thinking now, I guess it might well have done.  1632 coincides with Charles I providing a Royal Charter for the founding of the Maryland Colony.  I bought the Sixpence from a Cincinnati based auctioneer- same vicinity.
I like to think this scenario might be the case.  Thanks. 

Bloody hell rich creamed my pants on this one 

Not unlike an expectant father again, I’ve anxiously waited for this Sixpence to arrive from the USA, it having been held to ransom by the courier, initially demanding 20% HMRC VAT/Duty.
Now it has finally landed, I don’t think I have ever been so thrilled to receive a coin.
An exceptional example of a Charles I (1625- 1649) Sixpence. Briot’s First Milled issue 1631-32 mm Flower & B. obv. His crowned bust left with falling lace collar and VI behind.  Rev. Square topped shield/ long cross dividing arms. 2.99g, 26mm,  Spink 2855
I feel fortunate to own this lovely Sixpence, I’m not sure I’ll find another 400 year old coin in such condition.
