  1. I thought that was only for 2007+ sovereigns?

the 2000-2006 had one design and they changed/

    improved it in 2007?

Mine has the regular tail not the short tail, but they have been doing the short tail since at least 1891 -

p.s. the above 2 coins are 1/2 sovs as mentioned in the original post, doubt Hatton Garden are about to risk their reputation for £95 coin :)

  2. im working away from home at the moment so cant have a proper look.  Thought I made out a "P" from the pic but thing im seeing things lol.

If it came from Hatton Gardens im pretty sure its legit.  Have quite a few sovs now so familiar with the look and feel of them so not worried at all.

  3. I have read something about "short tail" sovereigns, is this the same thing?

Just checked, the fluffy looking tail end is a "short tailed" sovereign

  4. You can't post a pic of a sovereign on here without someone saying it looks dodgy :P

:) nothing wrong with a little due diligence.

It came from Hatton Gardens so not too concerned, it looked spot on when I gave the once over on delivery.

  5. They are quadrum capsules, you can get them here -

They are designed to go with the quadrum cases like the one I sold here -

  6. mr-dead how long have you been stacking

I did stack a little silver and gold a few years ago but sold the lot.  I started stacking this lot on 31/12/13 according to my spreadsheet so about 1 year & 4 months worth of stacking.
