  1. Probably got more chance of finding the Holly grail 😁😁😁😁😁😁 so not that hard....
  2. I've got some bullion Silver completer coins, not proofs....when I recd them they were perfect...one I noticed around a month ago developed a tiny milk spot...wasn't happy but it was tiny..cest la vie. But now it has got alot worse....So I'm guessing once you get a signs of milkspots no matter how tiny they can spread like some horrid disease??
  3. So ..thanks for the info...the early Vicki's are copper which I would have thought would be of a higher value and premium? But seems the later dates of bronze are more valuable???.
  4. Thanks for that..I've been reading about different varieties.. near colon, far colon,no colon...not sure about the ornamental trident whether it's worth more...large dates, small dates...its interesting....as I said only just sparked an interest in me...probably like you I'm a gold and silver buyer..so not much knowledge when it comes to the pennies..but will learn...do you have many in your collection???. Regards
  5. Thanks for the info....I have bought a couple more pennies in v nice condition but still don't know whether they are worth collecting..investment wise...there doesn't seem to be that many people who collect them...some of the prices have shocked me so I guess there is a market for collecting..I've only looked at the Victorian pennies but do like the Georgian ones as well...if the price is reasonable I will buy...I do like them and makes one think of the history and the hands they have been through?? Regards
  6. So if that's the case how can they know the design before it's released???? Seems like something dodgy going on here...someone leaking information..if that is the case it makes the whole concept of new designs of coins a joke....or am I missing something here and being naieve that certain dealers get advanced information on new releases before they are released?????
  7. That's true regarding Gold....but we as buyers of proof silver or bullion coins should not expect or receive inferior coins that are spotted or have scratches etc..we pay over the intrinsic value for these items....yes they have low mintages and special designs...but!!!! Every coin should be what they advertise..proof especially..the best of the best but that's not we receive..until the RM get their act together..produce these coins that don't spot..are not sent out with problems then I'm not buying inferior coins for unjustified high premiums....is that too much to ask or expect from the ROYAL MINT?????.
  8. I wouldn't boycott the RM or any mint...as I do like the diversity of different mints, products and designs...but my experience of buying from different mints is.....everytime I purchase from the RM...Sooner or later my purchases from the RM develope milkspots☹☹☹ I have and continue to buy from the Perth mint and have not had any problems whatsoever..no spotting,scratches,dents...packaging has been perfect....maybe others have had different experiences...I like to buy silver coins ....and I always worry what state the coins from RM are going to turn up like....as I said I would not boycott RM BUT!!!!! I don't tend to buy from them now as the quality is inferior to other mints...if I purchase a bullion coin or proof I expect top quality and this doesn't happen with the RM..so I choose other mints who have superior coins in design and quality rather than the RM...as I think they are a just a profit government backed institution and they really do not care about their products or customers.... What good stuff has the RM produced that doest have problems ????
  9. This design has been on their site for about a month....its just what they believe the design will be....know one knows what it will actually be until the release day..personally I think its unprofessional for a company to place them on pre-sale before they know the actual design...or do they know??? and leaked it early..in any case its unprofessional if they do..
  10. Spoken for?? Yes the well known dealers get first choice as always......
  11. Still do not understand Atkinsons advertising this coin as 1917 London Mint penny????
