  1. I have seen it before with Westminster coins in the past..I think they put the price up as you can pay in installments.... for those who cannot afford to purchase in one go..but I think its disgusting they are charging nearly £200 for this option..😞
  2. Think I'd save my pennies for the Gothic release....and spend the money I was going to pay on the 2022 sov on a nice 1840's Vicki's sov...which I'd prefer over the new 2022..
  3. Seems a very high mintage..wondering now if its worth buying if that turns our to be the figures....
  4. Thanks for all the information, appreciate it..👍👍✔
  5. Anyone have an idea on the mintage figures for the 2022 sov? Will it just be the 1 denomination or will they do a double sovereign as well?? Regards.
  6. Looks like something out of STARGATE...Really nice..✔
  7. Well I had another look on Westminster coins...it doesn't mention anything about grading it states 300 mintage gold proof just like the RM I did notice it states £1250 as the issue price from the RM which is incorrect as the price on RM is £1065? Bit confusing as it's the same coin they have received from the RM but at a higher price as far as I can see. Regards
  8. Sorry I've got myself confused...haha so where do I find "non precious metals" for future ref. Regards
  9. Oh..bit confused how I done that..does state at the top of the thread that I created it under non precious metals/base metals....I havnt seen under topics "general precious metals"??
  10. Hi I love and collect Victorian sovs. On a whim I purchased a 1841 1/2 penny and now find myself getting a bit hooked. I liked the detail and patina on this, would like some advice if you collect Victorian pennies! I've seen some on ebay which I don't like to use going for high prices, so would like some kind of idea what to pay for them in good very good or unc condition. Appreciate any advice Photo of the one I've just purchased. Forgot to say has a serif error on the 'E' in DEI.
  11. Go on to Westminster coins..they are asking £1250.00 and they get them from the RM....😳😳😳😳😲
  12. I like to pop this in my pocket when going out...but I'm beginning to walk like Quasimodo....
  13. It's just a matter of timing n luck..✔
  14. Trouble is that wise man lost his shirt.....😁
  15. Here is an out of the box thought!!!! Why don't we all wait and see on the day what the design will be? A couple of days after the release and the lucky ones who aquire this sovreign it will be history......and we will all have forgotten about it and start focusing and commenting on the release of the Gothic Crown....Chill out people...after the Gothic there will be something else we will all go mad over..its the nature of coin collectors...it goes on and on and on.....RELAX.....This is going to be the future of new releases...we get them or we don't...know need for the stress unless you choose to do so..my humble opinion..Good luck to you all..😉😉😉🙂🙂🙂🙂
  16. At times????????🤣🤣 they have their own dairy farm..🥛🥛🥛🥛🥛🥛😄
  17. Oh you know what I meant...Mr Dictionary 😲 No comment!!!!
  18. Cotton gloves are cheap multiples of x10 x20 x50..not much to spend to handle your coins..never leave home without them....cotton underpants @LawrenceChard...can't imagine the contamination on those..😄😄😄😄😄
  19. Always....oils,dirt,sweat are always on your fingers..I was told by a very well known coin dealer..no matter what coin you handle..Wear cotton gloves..never handle coins with bear hands/fingers if you want to keep your coins in the condition you buy them. Otherwise contamination from your fingers will eventually have negative consequences on your coins over the months or years....now whether that is fact or not...I always wear cotton gloves when handling coins.... it doesn't cost much for a pair of gloves and to be on the safe side....what have you got to lose with extra protection...Something I've always done..
  20. Stacking sovs boring 😳😳😳 never!!🙂
  21. Had a surprise from the postman today!! Havnt ordered anything so was shocked to see that it was a box from the RM a Seymour Panther? I've an idea who it's from, will find out later. I had no intention of purchasing this or the series but now in-hand it's beautiful.. well I'm now hooked..it is a very nice coin. Was hesitant on opening it up as was thinking..(Milkspots,scratches etc) I've had the coin out of the capsule with cotton gloves and cannot see anything..apart from what looks like a smudge on the reverse at the left of the 2022. Won't be sending it back as 1. It's a present and 2. Don't want to risk getting a replacement that is in worse condition. Anyway very happy with it so looks like I'm going to be going for the full series..
