  1. They may be in Birmingham, but I still bought online and paid by bank transfer. They ship for free and don't allow any discount for collection, so it's not worth my time collecting.

True saves on the petrol, the amount of post's i have missed and had to travel to the depot to pick up a package.

  2. I have been following there sovereigns and they sell out quickly on the lower bullion option.I wish they had a shop here that i could do the same Dan,Nice pick up by the way.If i did not get that Sov i would of snatched that half shield back up for sale in the forum.

  3. Today I received a 10oz Sunshine Mint silver bar from the forum's FTYBR. Pleasure dealing with you Glenn, it's a great looking lump of silver.

This takes my silver stack up to the magical 100oz  :D

Well done SS on the 100oz, It seems a few of us are hitting this mark lately.I would be interested on what your next objective is too.

  4. Today i received from my family.3 X Spiders,2 X Kooks, 1 X Koala, 1 x Maple, and a Philly.

I must say the craftsmanship from the Perth mint is excellent.

I do not know if the 2015 Maple has a new portrait of the queen on it or not but the 2014 portrait needs updating looks too cartoonish. If cartoonish is a real word.

To be fare to the RCM its just bullion and belongs in a tube any way.

Edit; and a 1 oz Atlantis Tiger poured bar.

  5. Today I bought a couple of 1oz kookaburra's which took my total to 100oz's.

Congratulations on the 100oz's, feels great do-sent it?

As for a new goal i am at that cross roads also.I would like more gold,i don't know what you think on that one.

I have also thought about  a lidle case and collecting 1oz Perth coins.Do you fancy that? or just plain and simple filling more tubes.

Maybe bars some poured or kilo bars there is so much choice.

What are your thoughts on your next move?

  6. I personally don't include gifts in my average £/oz.

to be fair I also haven't bought silver at £30+/oz.

adding gifts skews the figures when you want an

honest comparison of how well your investment

have been. your average per oz is also about

teaching/guiding you to make better choices

    before you retire.

    HH

The short answer to that is then i f&%@£@d up. I will leave this section for the today i bought thread.

  7. Congrats on the 100 oz!

I'm not sure I agree with your method for calculating average cost though, assuming you're adding gifts in at £0? Doesn't really stack up (excuse the pun).

I take on board what your saying, and in a way i agree but it was not my money that bought it and that's what i have convinced myself,if i had not used this method my average would be horrendous. I started stacking in the last to the moon rush, not now in these glory stacking days if i had started now i probably would included gifts "correctly". Please allow me this indiscretion or the "real"total would make me wince.

At the end of the day though i have 100oz silver & 5 half sovereigns and a 1/10th gold eagle, I own an edge for my retirement and if it goes to the moon again or further, how ever i reached this, will pay me dividends in the future.

Edit...And if it don't i will leave it to my Granddaughters.

  8. Well done SP, congratulations.

I'm pretty sure when we first started chatting (before I poached you to this forum), you were in the high teens, so you have come a long way!!!

That's a very enviable average too!!!

Thanks Dan, Yes i was on Kitcos site and this site piddles all over that for comradeship ,i love it here and the motivation i get from reading posts has kept me ticking over. To think i bought an apmex 1oz silverbar @ £33.75 at one point and with gifts and a strewed buying attitude i have got it down to this price.

I could of thrown in the towel but i kept going and achieved my goal.

Many thanks for all the likes.

  9. Congrats on the 100 mate,

Are you stopping at that, or do you have the next 100 in mind :)

Thank you HT, I intend to stack gold but it will be a slow process and i will miss the buying buzz and the searching online,i did say i would stop at 100oz but i must admit i have looked at four Maple tubes, or a lidle coin case and collect Perth silver.

To be honest i do not know at the moment with silver but when i can  afford a gold coin i will get a half sovereign.

  10. Thanks to the forum members who recently purchased any gold from me, today I bought my newest ever car. A 2005 Ford Focus. And of course the colour just had to be silver. (,picking it up tomorrow night)

That just proves what we have all been trying to achieve,an accumulation of wealth, an alternative bank account, well done HT and thanks for the half sovereigns.

  11. Here is a man who obviously knows how to pick a wife.

Gives silver  .........   and gets gold in return ..    lol

Its better than that i gave the silver to myself as well.........not quite she had a diamond and sapphire ring.I did chuckle at your comment though. :)
