Hello world!

Hi everyone,

Thought I’d say hello, hopefully I’ll meet a few of you as we go. A little bit about me and then I’ll shut up! Not going to ask any questions till I’ve been exploring 😉

I’m really into silver in the most part, love how more and more designs are coming out in world bullion, it’s encouraged me to move out of just buying the cheapest silver coins I can find to stack up, and diversify a little bit into semi numismatics I suppose. I’ve got a particular soft spot for coins with marine life and/or depictions of water on them, one of my favourites being the deep ocean particle effect that provides the backdrop to the Dunkleosteus Prehistoric Life coin. 
 

Why do I enjoy silver so much? I suppose there are a few reasons. I enjoy doing the maths, working out premiums, converting units blah blah, I enjoy researching the cultural and historical symbolism depicted on coins, I enjoy analysing the designs of coins and the whole manufacturing process, and I enjoy the fact that I am protecting a portion of my money in a way that also brings me so much fun and satisfaction. It’s been great to meet a few people along the way too!

Like you - I love the designs and the symbolism and buy with my heart rather than my head!!

If possible, when you have looked at the Forum, it would be worth buying membership as it will give you a better option to purchase items.

Welcome to The Silver Forum. This is by far the best place to be when it comes to all things precious metals.

Most people who are active on the forum collect both silver and gold, and in bullion and proof types. There is also some people who buy, sell and collect other precious metals such as platinum too. 

The Silver Forum isn't just a marketplace though, there's actually a diverse social aspect too. You can find information and engage in discussions with like-minded people about all sorts of topics relating to collecting and/or stacking precious metals.

To get the best experience you really do need a premium membership which will give you many benefits. However you can stick with a free, non-premium account, and still have access to all the main areas including sales pages. Although non-premium members have to wait 3 days for new listings to become visible, so you will likely miss out on all the best deals.

If you have any questions feel free to ask them in this post and somebody will respond to try and offer help or support.
