  1. Bad timing for me or I’d jump on these 😢
  2. Yes I watched it a while ago 🙂 and if BYB likes something as much as these bars I reckon you’re on to a winner mate 👍 better taste than me 😅
  3. Thank you to @LiquidMetalsUK and @Peacemaker for providing a few pieces for this little chest that sits by my laptop and keeps me grounded in reality while I’m tippy tappy typing nonsense all day! Would a hammerhead ever encounter Morgan silver dollars in the wild? At the same time as florins? Ok Ok, enough procrastinating already…
  4. These are one of those items I feel will probably be very popular and sought after at some point, commanding high premiums, but I really don’t like them 🫣😅. But it’s got to be a good idea to grab them with such low mintages, GLWS 😀
  5. We generally have had c**p chancellors this century, very frustrating!
  6. Roughly 26.42g of silver if anyones interested (depending on wear and tear), assuming the 1871 is the only sterling silver coin 🙂
  7. Would be great to see how you do it as an expert 😀. I’m not generally bothered by milk spots unless it’s on the only one of a coin that I have, they prove a coin’s silver right 🧐
  8. I’d probably check first too 😅
  9. Yep, I do what I like with ma bullion 😊 short of spray painting it
  10. Yeah I experimented a bit with cleaning years ago, also with antiquing and anodising etc to camouflage unpleasant marks, nothing really gets rid of milk spots, but using a soft clean eraser can ‘tidy them up a bit’ and make them far less noticeable. This does leave very tiny scratches so on a mirror finish I’m not sure there’s much point, and a dealer will always see they’ve been cleaned up and generally won’t offer more than for a milk-spotted coin in my experience. Everyone says don’t clean numismatic coins, because you really shouldn’t 🙂… But I have tidied up a few coins for myself using the eraser technique, and I do find it less traumatic to handle them now 😅
  11. I’m sure my dad imported his old sofa from Peru, better get round there to have a rummage! Really nice variety of coins 😀
  12. I’d say it means you’ll be able to find them and then easily Google them for values 😃
  13. Fish is exactly what I don’t want chicken to taste like.
  14. Is the big kangaroo supposed to be Rolf? Otherwise yes, very nice coin 🙂
  15. They’re great pics 😁. Can see the water around the Sumatran tiger, awesome design!
  16. Welcome CofC, enjoy your vids on YT very much, looking forwards to the upcoming generic silver unboxing 🙂
  17. Have you got any slightly better pics of these? 🙂 free bump!
  18. @Dankanugget had/has some 1945 Dos Pesos for sale if they’re the kind of thing you’re looking for
  19. She’s the treasury sec. of the U.S 👍
  20. Thanks very much, it’s laid out really well I agree. I’m fine with 999 but keeping values of all the different pre decimal coins in my head is… challenging. Especially when there can be such a wide range of values for a single denomination 👀
  21. Hello there, hope you’re having a great weekend where ever you are. It’s been a slow weekend with the couple of usual sales I attend cancelled, which has left me trawling through the internet instead of a variety of stalls; years ago I found a silver thruppence wedged under a palm tree in a Tracey Island Thunderbirds playset so I’m very persistent with my foraging nowadays. Playset premiums have gone up since. But I’m chatting rubbish. During my forlorn and frenzied Googling yesterday I came across a site called ‘allcoinvalues.com’. Has anyone used this site before and know whether it’s really up to date? Would anyone recommend a different site they use that is kept up date with values but isn’t run by a dealer? Thanks!
