£5 2012 is roughly going to cost £5500-£6000, personally If holding longterm..I'd grab a £5 memorial for under £3200 and lock it away. Arguably a far nicer coin imho.

I just think all the profit is already sucked out of the 2012

Thanks James. I know, I know I'm so late to the party on all the coins I like; beasts, fancy design sovereigns, brits etc.😪  I have thought about the memorial, will investigate further 🙂👍

17% premium is a shame for the seller, not sure why people put these types of liquid coins on the auction. That could easily go for 5% under market value on forums/groups or even 10% under on eBay to cover fees...

PS. i like the recommendation of singles also, i stack singles and prefer to have 5x 1 sov than 1x 5 sov. More collectable, so bigger market, and may increase in price more % wise, way more liquid.
