I think an app would be a poor experience (and probably quite hard to achieve with this sort of customised forum software?).

I like the freedom of opening various threads or notifications in separate browser tabs, whether on desktop or mobile.

Besides, all I have to do is type "t" into my browser's address bar and the rest is autocompleted.

Tell me it's not just me.... 🤣

Mine auto-fills Tesco.com. 😄

 

TSF is saved as a direct icon on my laptop homepage, just takes one click to open.  Works well in my browser, easy to read, easy to see pictures and enlarge them, easy to message other members or leave feedback.

I agree this forum doesn't work perfectly on mobile though.  Can see why some would prefer an app if regularly using a mobile device.

I only ever use my phone, can't remember the last time the laptop was on (would probably be downloading updates for a week if I tried) and in truth I've never had any issues here on the forum.

I feel like you severely underestimate how much it costs to have an app developed & the annoyance/effort of having to switch from one forum platform to another to enable the transition - especially finding plugin alternatives etc

Definitely not worth the effort considering the site is fine

It also probably worth mentioning that on most modern phones you can set custom bookmarks to defined sites with the rest of your apps
