Storing silver

Is it safe to leave my silver in a bag like the one below from Apmex?  Thanks everyone!

Depends on what the bag is made of.  Polythene is fine, but PVC has plasticisers that will react with the coin.

Having said that, I think 2oz 40mm coins like that are a weird size and you may have some trouble finding caps for them.  This one will probably fit it.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

I've been assuming (hoping) APMEX wouldn't use PVC in their bags.

I have a silver Batarang that I thought would come in a capsule but it just came in a sealed bag.  Never going to find a capsule to fit it so I've kept it in the bag for airless storage.  Now doubting whether that's the best option. 🤔

This.

If you plan on doing any volume, it maybe worth asking @morezone, I recall he had some fine silver pieces vacuum sealed, so he maybe able to advise the cheapest, most effective method/s.

As long as there are no bad things in the plastic that will damage the coin I put my coins in direct fit holders 16946236463406257943558344797983.thumb.jpg.9c282ec139b5ac538543fb10229bff5c.jpg
