Hi everyone.

I started stacking/collecting a couple of months ago and found it to be extremely addictive haha. So I am here to observe, learn, buy and not go bankrupt?.

Hi Chris,

Good start! You've introduced yourself and you're already a Premium Member!

You haven't asked us to do all your research for you and you haven't told us how rich you are.

WELCOME!

I think you'll still be here in 6 months time too. :)

Tell us, do you stack silver or gold? Or both? You've got a knowledgeable neighbour I see ;)

Hi and welcome.

At the moment mainly silver and fractional gold. Trying to be a bit picky what I collect  so I can maximise my return in the future but it's bloody hard as there is so much I want haha.

I can't make my mind upwhether to collect a couple of examples of many or just stack lots of one type. I am not exactly rolling in money so I can't do both and everytime I'm on the net I see something else I want. ?

try to get a few different designs to start with, and see what you might like

as long as you get them to the right price, you can always sell them in the future

It's a minefield Chris.

Forget about maximum returns right now, there is so much more to learn.

I agree with others, buy a few different things, see what you like, does silver or gold float your boat?

Do you understand the difference between the two? And I'm not talking metallurgy lol

When I started out (not that long ago mind) I curtailed my spending on beer and fags. You can buy a few ounces a week this way. (In fact, I stopped smoking altogether in May '14 because of it.) Win win. This way, I'm not bothered if I made a few mistakes and spent too much on a particular coin. I would have only stubbed it out or p*ssed it up the wall otherwise. This is only one suggestion. Less pizzas? Keep the smartphone another year? Tell the missus she is beautiful. You get the idea! :)

With experience and knowledge, you can be more confident and not worry too much about the next purchase. You've worked for it, it's an investment/insurance policy.
