Royal Mint Brochures

Okay I know I keep asking this question every so often, so I figured I would create one post that I can keep resurrecting.

And maybe others will find it useful too since the brochures contain useful information about mintages.

So…

Has the Royal Mint sent out any brochures for any of their coin ranges lately?  2022 Sovereign.  Gothic Crown.  Platinum Jubilee.

The last brochure I’m aware of was for the Tudor Beasts range.

I'd have loved a 2022 Sovereign brochure, but wondered with such a high interest in coins and the mega quick time to sell all the coins if it is necessary for the RM to produce these?  No doubt would have been a lovely item to keep with our coins.

I’ve not had anything. I even used to get brochures for the Chinese New Year / Zodiac but nothing for maybe a year.

Agreed.  Maybe they don’t need to send out promotional material anymore because sell outs are a given these days.

@westminstrel I have a wonderfully tasteful brochure of The Great Engravers series but I would like to keep hold of it. 

More of an upmarket magazine for a coffee table than a brochure.  I got it from the Royal Mint stand at the York Coin Fair- there was just one on display, and it was late afternoon, I was cheeky enough to ask if I could have it.

I also have issues 2 & 3 of 'Mint Edition'.  And Issue 145 of 'The Bulletin' if anyone would like them?  There's a coffee cup stain and something sticky on the cover of the Bulletin- looks like an Eccles cake stain- that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

Oh that’s lovely!  Did they do similar benches for the Three Graces and Gothic Crown do you know?

I'm not sure if they produced one for the other releases- I didn't get to the show until mid afternoon, and they had this last copy on display- perhaps they doled out loads earlier on in the day, and I just got lucky.

Which year was this though?  Was it before or after the Three Graces and Gothic Crown? 🙂

It must have been Autumn 2019 or very early January 2020 as the York Coin Fair was cancelled because of Covid later that year-  and I don’t think there’s been one since.

 It’s copyrighted The Royal Mint 2019.  And only features the Una and the Lion.

I managed to get Bulletins 138 and 139, and RM Mint issues 1 and 2, thanks to a couple of forum members. ☺️
