The final debasement of our modern coinage?

Recommended Posts

The Royal Mint are reclaiming the cupronickel coins now any suggestions what they use next?  I'm voting for a coin with a massive hole in the centre as other failing economies have done before.

When a currency is becoming almost worthless all coins will hit  "seniorage" Royal Mint code for saying "it costs more to make than it's worth"  for those who are not in the know!

Some of you might have already seen this, just thought it may be of interest to those who haven't.

Central bankers are politicians disguised as economists or bankers. They’re either incompetent or liars. So, either way, you’re never going to get a valid answer.” - Peter Schiff

Sound money is not a guarantee of a free society, but a free society is impossible without sound money. We are currently a society enslaved by debt.

A few countries have done away with the 1 and 2 pence equivalent. I think New Zealand is one I remember off the top of my head.

It's hard to do much with them in UK like paying them into a bank or spending them even in bulk to be fair
