🇿🇦🪙 For sale here is a lovely lot of four .925 silver coins from the pre-Union South African Republic! 🪙🇿🇦

The Zuid Afrikaansche Republiek (ZAR) period was from 1874 to 1902 and these four wonderful silver coins circulated in the latter stages of that pre-Union period!

Like all standard circulation coins these have plenty of history to them, but perhaps the most interesting and note-worthy point as that they are all pre-Boer War! All four of these lovely coins were minted before the Second Boer War commenced in 1899 so were present in the South African Republic while this war was raging on! 💥

The four fantastic ZAR silver coins included in this lot are as follows:

ZAR 2 1/2 Shillings 1896 which is 14.14 g of .925 silver and has a diameter of 32.3 mm: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces21288.html

ZAR 2 Shillings 1894 which is 11.31 g of .925 silver and has a diameter of 28.7 mm: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces4789.html

ZAR 1 Shilling 1894 which is 5.65 g of .925 silver and has a diameter of 23.7 mm: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces16031.html

ZAR Sixpence 1892 which is 2.83 g of .925 silver and has a diameter of 19.35 mm: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces15452.html

All four of these examples are very much in collectible grades and are actually rather nice for the types. Not easy to get in these grades and to be able to pick up one of each type in a lovely group of four like this isn't an opportunity which crops up too often.

It should be noted that the ZAR Sixpence 1892 is the lowest mintage year and is a very scarce date with a mintage of only 28,300!

All-in-all a fantastic group of four pre-Boer War silver coins from the Zuid Afrikaansche Republiek!

Sale price is £40 including Royal Mail postage to mainland UK.

Payment via bank transfer is preferred but PayPal friends and family will also be accepted.

Comment here or PM me to pick this up for yourself today! 🤠

Thank you! 👍🏻
