Just wondered if anyone has purchased one of these and what the quality is like?

I might consider purchasing if the price was fair but cannot find a seller other than eBay at the moment.

Only place I've seen them is from the Royal Mint itself,the other day they were just over £300 a pop once vat was added.

Mine arrived and is ok. There are some minor scuffs, typical with RM bullion, but no dents or scratches - it came in a capsule. Mine has a slight haziness to it so i'm hoping this won't turn out to be milk spots... It's one of a very few coins that i keep going back to stare at. It really is very easy on the eye !

They seem to have less detail than the smaller 1oz coins. They do look nice though.

Got mine today and quality control have failed me completely. The front looks dull and stained, now i will have to pay to get it back to them for an exchange

Has the royal mints quality control taken a hit recently? I seem to see a lot of people having issues recently.

61% premium.... I like it but not not much. (Hard being a stacker and having to keep fighting the urge & temptations)

 

Looks like im sticking to a 1oz and a magnifying glass for now!!
