Royal Mint announces 'The Great Engravers' recall

The Royal Mint has apologised for what it describes as 'a huge mistake' and is pleading with the British public to return any recently bought gold and silver coins that feature work by the engraver William Wyon.
Mr Wyon's family, it appears, were not consulted when the new coins were conceived and do not approve of the mint using the designs without their permission. Speaking through their lawyer, they said that they were 'most upset' and that the mint were absolute rotters.
Mrs. Anne Jessop, speaking for the mint, noted that they had indeed 'dropped the ball' this time around and asked the coin buying public to kindly return the coins as soon as possible. She said that she was 'really sorry'.

The mint has assured customers that they will be refunded in full for the cost price of the coins and that they will cover the cost of the postage too.
As a thank you, each customer who returns their coin will be gifted a limited edition Celebrating British Diversity 2020 UK 50p Silver Proof coin.

'It [socialism] poses a growing threat, however unintentional, to the freedom of this country, for there is no freedom where the State totally controls the economy. Pahahahahaha!!!! The liars! They've just seen the prices the coins are selling for online and want them back so they can sell them themselves for £2000+

If I had one no way they'd be getting it back in exchange for that cr*ppy diversity coin.

Edit:

Have I just been fooled again? First Wahaca, now the silver forum 🤣

Who do they think they are kidding? The Royal Mint and its 'Great Engravers' debacle

How is this going to work?
They are in La La Land.
The coins were highly priced on the RM website but in the aftermarket the prices were IMO ridiculous.
But let's say i had a rush of blood to the head and i had gone into the aftermarket and shelled out the national debt of Guatemala to buy some of these beauties. Will the RM refund me what i paid? What if it were a cash deal? What if it were a swap? - i have seen swaps offered. How on earth could you unwind that?
The mere fact the Royal Mint wants to recall my coins would for sure mean i had lost them down the back of the settee or the sock monster had eaten them. No way José would they be going back.

Always cast your vote - Spoil your ballot slip. Put 'Spoilt Ballot - I do not consent.' These votes are counted. If you do not do this you are consenting to the tyranny. None of them are fit for purpose.
A tyranny relies on propaganda and force. Once the propaganda fails all that's left is force.
