so I’m guessing you’re going by the old imperial conversion rate of 1 sovereign = £1 ? Bit old school.

@Gruff, I've taken the bullionvault route too. It's fits well with my circumstances.

If anyone is interested, the vault fee for both a gold and silver account is around £10 monthly.

(not financial advice 😉)

Ja only issue with it, is that it is not CGT free, unless you buy the Brits/Sovs through them, but then with silver, it's still VAT to be paid.

I’m not ridiculing silver, there far wiser and richer people here than me, when I ask all these silver financial experts to tell me about their personal successes over the decades it all goes a little on he quiet side……don’t you find that odd?

Buying ETF silver in 2018 at an average of £12-£13 and then some more in 2022 at about £15.50 has netted me a nice paper gain at today's price, certainly enough for a luxury holiday if not quite a new car.

I'm more than happy with that, and I will probably sell about 1/4 of my holdings and take profits on it soon.

Come on mate. Silver is up 33.5% in the last 3 months and gold is up 19% in the same period. Both are great investments, beating inflation and are success stories
