*Edit. I posted a link to aliexpress where there are loads of fake pcgs and ngc coin slabs for sale in bulk. I delete obviously*

That company is a joke.

I wonder how many of these slabs with fake coins in them are doing the rounds undetected. It doesn't bear thinking about.

If the coin on ebay is slabbed does that mean it is real?

Absolutely not.

You can buy the slabs NGC use direct from the company in China for pence each.

Fake labels (from elsewhere) too.

Numbers can be cloned.

The coins can be faked (much harder to tell in slabs).

Etc.

The problem with eBay is that the seller is the one that usually gets stiffed, the seller sent the buyer a genuine 24 karat gold 1 ounce coin and the buyer complains that it's fake although the buyer received a genuine coin but sends a fake back to the seller.

It’s not to hard to tell with the slabs, if it’s not ‘Mint’ you can check the marks on the coin against the picture on the ngc/pcgs website.
If the coin is not gold the slab as a whole will not be in range + or - a gram. The weight of the plastic, different stickers etc can make the weight vary but not more than a gram. It’s handy to have a genuine similar one to check against.

Also just the look and placement of stickers will be dull or slightly off

There can be good copies but I believe it’s much harder to fake a graded coin.
