What a great day it is today! Received these 2 wonderful pieces! 

A few bits to add to the collection. 
The Perth mint 1oz gold Dragon coin bar and the Dragon and Phoenix gold coin. 
 

I bought them in Germany but they don't get shipped out – had to deliver them to a friend, who posted them on...

Had to pay a premium, but not that much. Around the £200 mark.

I guess most coins like this are melted down, but I find it interesting nonetheless.
Engraving reads "mother to george 1856", no mounts or anything so not sure what the purpose of it would have been?

Monster box of 2018 Brits finally arrived after being stuck in France for 3 days due to snow.
Satisfyingly heavy.

Did my own grading send as my local ngc was doing a discount campaign. They know me well and threw in the ngc box as a kindness. All the 2017 sov proofs and ms dpl came out well along with some other Aussie and Canadian bits. The 2015s look great side by side as they have two different portraits in the same year on a proof, so a nice pair, as the vicar said to the nurse All have original boxes and coas, of course.

25 shields, all 1840s. More worn than other years but at the price paid is to be expected. Few nicer ones though and some different variations. 
Haveanother 30 on order so hopefully some rarer overstates etc to come!

I didn't know there were silver sovereign coins. 
May I ask where you got them?

Not sure what is going on with the lighting (phone camera pic) but none of them are black like the edges ones look ?
Yet to sort through but they are all very nice, a few cleaned but that's it. 35 more to come tomorrow!
