  1. thanks mate, are they reliable?
  2. thanks i have few dealers i m checking, but what would be current UK prices for those 2 coins?
  3. Hi all, i m considering starting the Tudor beasts 1oz bullion gold series, before it gets too complicated to catch up; what would be competitive /fair current prices (in gbp) for the Lion of England and the Yale of Beaufort (consider i m not in the UK so i ll have to compare prices over there and check what i can find around here)? thanks all, appreciate any input
  4. Nothing should be covered during a settlement. Costs, benefits etc, everything has to be under the light of the sun; under those terms the 2 parts can decide if prooceding or not, with no regrets. When something is not clear (like for example the profit of the seller, or the real cost of the item) there is room for complaints
  5. why on earth shipping should be for free?
  6. i m waiting for my full sov.... and bought it within first minute on release day...
  7. i dont understand all these efforts to save 3-5 gbp... i mean i m not into wasting money at all but sometimes the game isn't just worth the candle
  8. as people are getting the set... i feel up... set as my proof is still somewhere (over the rainbow?); i decided to drop a mail to the bloody RM; here comes the authomatic reply.. We are currently experiencing high volumes of contact at the moment, and we are responding to emails received on the 1st January 2023 i mean... WTF??
  9. how they do dare selling memorial bullion when there are folks like me that are still waiting for their memorial proof ... its been 3 months almost this is getting **^?çéPé**^*çç f<++++++
  10. that s why i bought that lot, even if not cheap at all
  11. few years ago i spotted this lot in a DNW auction (might have been summer 2021); the Quartermaster is the holy bible for Aussie sovs, not to be missed!
  12. roughly 45.000 Euros, which looks just crazy, at first glance. 1.000 Euros per coin!!!!! I then made an excel putting coin by coin, price by price (entering what i considered a current price for a slabbed 70 proof coin of that year); quite surprisingly my grand total got to 42.800 euros. my conclusion is that it is indeed a ***** amount of money, but i wouldnt be surprised if that collection would be bought soon and fetching maybe 50.000 euros or more in a near future.

    2023 Sovereigns

could you please link that? I m waiting as many others for the first 2023 bullion sov and in my dreams that would be a return.... to innocence (St george and the old drake); the 2022 memorial proof would furthermore remain as a unique design...
  14. There are 2 completely different perspectives with regard to sovereigns (or other coins) and people buying them. There are collectors, and there are stackers (of PM). The way they approach the market is completely different. Collectors only find in auctions what you called as "good old sovereign", and are "happy" to pay a (large when needed) premium over spot if they are hunting a rare piece or an unusual grading. Most of the time, as you approach sovs with this goal, you dont even care or know what spot price stands at. When dropping comments or sharing info, forum users should clarify which side of the moon they belong to, because otherwise a lot of posts could be (and are) misleading especially for noobs.
  15. those 4 guys look like complete mor**s, but i wonder if at the end of the day mor**s are those who consider them like that. I read that they were sentenced "only" for 6 years, 4 years, few months. And they stole/obtained tens of millions of pounds. And what if they considered few years of jail a reasonable bargain if there are a couple of millions hidden somewhere , confortably waiting for them as they get free? Some people would eventually pay this risk.
  16. everyone here got the full sov? i have had no news so far, sent en e mail and not even an answer...
  17. Lol they really take pre order for a bullion sov?
  18. when the 2023 bullion sov is expected? maybe that has already been commented but i dont want to open another thread... thanks!
  19. while waiting to receive my full sov and to assess the portrait from a more direct perspective i can anticipate (and quite surprisingly i havent read anything on that so far) that i dont like at all the "rendering" of the neck. It's way disproportionate compared to the head's size. Historically it was one of the most used way to depict (on coins) a sovereign's strenght/power. Understandable. Today (and i sorry as i am addressing to most forum users' king) it look just ridicoulous
  20. indeed 108 but the competition doesnt say there is only 1 prize or the prize going to the first! i want my part of the (golden) share!
  21. that is done on purpose. Creating a coin that doesn't exist cant be considered as a real fraud. It is more a fantasy coin and this is an "escamotage" frequently used by counterfeiters. It's like printing a note of 17 pounds. Fake but with less legal implications
  22. a lot of peeps claimed they cancelled...but i bet my 2 cents the majority at the end did not..
  23. out of curiosity; i dont really understand why on earth they would never list their their lots in a "normal" way. Per category, and per year. everything is shown randomly, it is very annoying
  24. that s an interesting contribution but i feel this discussion is going a bit off topic; my intention was to focus on the scarcity (r3? /r4?) of a specific sovereign (1874 London shield) and to get all thoughts that could be shared on that
  25. i m kinda lost, has anyone received anything so far?
