Yeah fair enough mate… but there’s literally no reason for customs to seize silver. Esp lower value and declared correctly. Something dodge going on there.
I’ve never had any problem.. but like I say I usual send it to myself. But worrying if more parcels are going to be picked up. 

No idea but were unable to retrieve the goods. Just my personal preference not to send the this particular destination any more. 
 

Last 2 I have sent have been seized so  unfortunately won't be sending their anymore as im to nice and even though stated at their risk I've ended up refunding .(My reputation is far more important than few quid)  Was only small orders of a couple hundred so not the end of the world but I've learned my lesson.

If you've sent as souvenir on customs and not said it's preciouse metals then if it's not stopped at customs your fine. But if it was stopped and checked would be pulled and confiscated

You can but not via royal mail. Has to be UPS or FedEx. Also would be at buyers risk 
Royal mail will not accept any jewelry or preciouse metals to Australia and also Australian post will not accept their end thus having to use a third party courier 

I've done it through royal mail twice with no issues but it's weird cause PMs are on Australia's restricted import list, so it's good to read this. Don't think I'll risk it again.
