I’ll take it , 👍, and adding to that say what you want about putin , like him or loathe him , that man is a leader , very patriotic and loves his country , I don’t no much , but from what I know of Russia history and the horrors they have been through , there is no way on earth , the Russian people will bend the knee to the west , you could wipe out the Russian army , then you would have the people to deal with , , never happening , seen it first hand living over here , a small group of men can cause chaos , in a country ???? , Russia is a big country with a old heart and soul , , , ( let the Russians be Russian , and leave well alone 👍

Yep , I thought we were meant to be the good guys , well that’s what we taught to think , I’m not to sure any more ,, I suppose if I was in putin shoes , I probably do the same thing , seems as if the west have been hen pecking the Russians for years , and goading them into a conflict , no idea why , I’m surprised how restrained they have been ,

I mean hopefully nothing major will happen but don't underestimate Poland. They are currently the strongest land army in Europe (other than Russia) and they've got historical scores to settle. The Polish population will demand a response if Russia starts killing Polish civilians and destroying Polish assets. Poland always seems to be an important battleground when it comes to World Wars

Derv reacted to HonestMoneyGoldSilver in Silver Monitoring Thread £ (GBP) only.
FX could have a greater effect going forward on GBP silver prices than the price of silver itself, which is set in USD. Currently silver in USD is down (-0.59%) while a few seconds (minutes) ago it was flat in GBP (+0.03%)
The USD has strengthened vs every major currency since late 2021 and obliterated some minor currencies. Every country in the world should be stacking the stink out of precious metals to hedge against this. We know this is one of the main driving factors behind Chinese demand, it's multi-faceted from their POV - hedge currency risk, hedge property market collapse, hedge against falling exports plus building for a BRICS currency. Other countries like Japan should be going ballistic on metals instead of just foreign securities and derivatives (Japan owns 3-5% of UK gilts, around 7-8% of US Treasuries and holds large positions in various US, UK and EU enterprises). The countries with weaker currencies like India have an even stronger incentive to stack metals
It's set up for the world vs the USD. Some US commentators speculate on this regularly, the great de-dollarization. If the world did pursue a policy of stacking metals rather than USD, eventually this would lead to a weakening of the USD as those dollars were repatriated to the US, causing a massive wave of inflation in the US. However if such an event were to occur, the yield on Treasures and the Fed Funds Rate would be hiked to the max, leading to stagflation (high interest, low growth and high unemployment), in an effort to preserve the status of the dollar
Anyway, I was just musing about that to myself, thought I would share
As for silver prices again today, well, as predicted, silver did spike above the recent high of $32.63 and instantly crashed - it hit $32.70 on Asia opening (11pm last night) then dropped fast to oscillate around $32.00 throughout today's session. We need to learn to walk before we can run in the rarefied air above $30

I'd keep buying too as a way to get FIAT out the system. Even with peace and prosperity, the FIAT game is rigged and will eventually collapse

Britannia is what the romans named Britain. Britannia the figure, is supposedly the personification of Britain. The imagery was taken from greco-roman classical art to fit the history behind the name.

For some reason after reading your description of Putin giving him a quick Glasgow kiss, I reimagined the scene with Putin as Bricktop telling Trump to put a feckin leash on him before he gets hurt. As you say, an embarrassment.
