Today my second draped bust arrived, she's a dark beauty..shows all the details...is she worth grading cos she is certainly no slick chick.
 
 

I finally crossed into the 18th century, on my American coins, My british are into the pre Jesus times, Celtic Potin.50 bc or there abouts.

At least were going to learn where the next stage of mark is...im thinking $1450 and we'll see the preasure to push it back down to $1400...if that doesn't hold you'll be talking $1500 plus within days.

We are nowhere near jn the U.S....and with inherent greed here no record will never be enough, they want crypto levels of return...lol.

If a billionaire is buying 10% of their portfolio in gold they are a fool...they should spread out 10% amongst a few commodities, not just one, that's madness.

I lived in country durham for 30 years, most of it in Barnard Castle...so spoilt before I even left town..lol..but just over the bridge in Whitby was a nice fish n chip place, drinks never a worry, you'd be on a stomach pump before leaving Barny, places to go were covered by even a walk but Whitby and Scarborough the places to go, scars because it had this nice little casino by the trolleys I could play in all night for £2 a hand blackjack..lol.

I love Whitby, specially when the goths are flooding the place, was there for the dracula centenary and everyone was zombie or vamp...was wicked....they got some cracking fish n chip places too. 

I was up in Whitby working today and after a fish & chip lunch,  I was flabbergasted to find a 2019 Sovereign at a cracking price in an antique/collectible shop.
And two pocket money eBay pick ups- a Silver Victoria medal and a Silver Proof £5 Vivat Regina! 



 

The ratio is still the same...one reason to exchange and not sell to buy...people will deal on spot value and not the 10% dealer buy and then 10% dealer sell...im not against dealing gold for silver, hell I have an offer out there.

My lcs has some KKK tokens, people collect what means something, be it money or history....I have been itching to buy a note I saw from the confederacy with slaves working in the cotton fields in the center, it screams history and the times it was make.

It’s quite a rare Lunar 1 10oz proof with a mintage of 289 and only 2 graded ones at PF69 and no 70’s.

They do so love to gouge you...my 97 wasn't too much fun either. but it was a proof so I could have avoided it and not been cheating, just it looks great.

My kids don't even call me, that's the life of a stepdad...they call when they need money or favors.

I have had sovereigns sent to me literally taped to the inside of the envelope...literally...and no insurance...not from a dealer but still...also had a shoe box sized package with all sorts of stuff inside for a 1 oz silver coin...some people just don't read the memo.
