Outflows from the gold miners are being blamed on Le Pen not looking likely to win in the French election, but the moderate banker chap winning instead. Silver is suffering the same as gold I guess. Last week was a big week in regards to the amount of money leaving the major gold mining ETF's. GDX and GLD saw massive outflows into the tens of billions. Nothing fundamentally has changed, just some short term sentiment. Perhaps people think electing a banker to lead them will save the financial system from the inevitable
I have not checked if there are any currency changes that might be responsible for some of the movement?

@Niels87  Just looking at the chart link at the top of the forum page and selecting EUR you can see that you should have been able to get them for around 30 cents cheaper.  I guess its the old story though.  When the comex banksters write the paper price down the dip tends not to be passed on fully to the physical market.
@jayboat  The rise we saw in April was not replicated so heavily in China but that's because they were already more expensive.  This sharp move down means that the comex has moved back to it's usual discount to the shanghai metal price.  The western paper discount to the Chinese physical markets was nearly zero two weeks ago with silver trading in china for roughly US$18:80 but that has only dropped during this paper drop to around US18.25.  All of the big drop in the last two weeks has been in the west in the paper market.  We are now back to the normal level of difference at around 15 - 20$ per ounce of gold and $1.50 per ounce of silver.  I'm guessing that a good number of the record long positions from the COT report two weeks ago have now been unwound.  Who knows its clearly so heavily manipulated.  Anyway, I take some comfort in the fact that the Chinese price has not moved anywhere near as much in all of this rollercoaster.
I swear if I just used the page below as a buy and sell timer it would have made me loads of money by now.  The lowest I ever saw paper silver get to was a $2.05 discount to the Chinese price (while shanghai was closed) back in December and that was just before it bounced hard.  2 weeks ago it went to parity just about and I knew I should have sold (paper) on that signal alone.  I've seen this reverse several times now and it has so far corresponded to bottoms and tops pretty accurately and works as a good overbought/sold indicator.
Worth an idle look from time to time.  http://didthesystemcollapse.com/

I think the Fed had pretty much confirmed that interest rates in the states were going to rise in the next 2-3 weeks. This normally means a drop in PM's are vise versa when interest rates go down. I think so anyway.
I got my order in last night, 30 oz at an avg inc shipping of £19.57. Deffo my most expensive avg for a goldsilver order but 1/2 oz lunars, pandas, tailed eagles, brits, koalas, queens beast and the new owl ones. Little pissed kooks went out of stock around dinner tea but i got a few panda trays for kooks and koalas to ease the pain. My next order will be cheaper per oz

    £14.80 now.
Just about back to the election night level.
I think there's room for silver to run up another £1-2/oz very quickly, as we have not seen it outperform gold yet as it normally does when prices get a little carried away, and miners still have a lot of upside potential.

My plan is pedal to the metal
I'll figure out to do with it when i have it.
Im pretty much all in for silver for the next 3 years. I have a 5 year stacking plan where i buy a certain amount of the yearly releases of around 12 coins that i plan to flip over every 5 years. In 2020 i will flip over 2015 stuff and buy 2020 stuff with that money, hopefully more oz's. Basically making a self sustaining stack which only requires my time. I will continue to flip until the silver to gold ratio is around 40-1, then flip the lot into gold.
In 3 years time when i start flipping, i have no plan where to save. Thats too far away to plan, i'll see what the craic is when that time comes

Nice strategy. You can get a lot of silver and gold for free if you switch at the right time. Even if you convert your silver to gold when it reaches 50:1 then back to silver when it's at 75:1 and do that several times over 20 years, you will do very nicely out of it, whatever stack size you have. People say that you can't earn interest when you stack PMs but I would argue this is the PM equivalent of interest.

I think you're right vand.  It's all about the USD and where that heads.  Where that leaves us with the price in pounds is anyone's guess.  Just a hunch but I feel that the price of PM's is heavily oversold in USD and even quite a bit in pounds.  Interestingly, everyone thought that a Trump win would propel PM's higher but after gold's rejection of its breakout to the high side the opposite narrative appears to be in play just now.  Maybe over the next few days a short term bounce is on the cards but I expect it to falter again and build a base.  I reckon PM's will end up roughly this price in 2-3 months after building a base at this or even slightly higher levels.  That's just from the failed breakout to the high side which is a powerful signal.  That time frame to build a base would tie in with DT taking office in mid January leaving a potential breakout either up or down from the consolidation that I reckon is now underway.  The Trump PM bullish psychology has certainly taken a beating but I did read somewhere that there was a truly enormous sell order inserted on gold after the unexpected result.  Apparently so large that it would likely be the actions of a central bank.  Who knows whether or not that is true.  The previous narrative of Trump being good for PM's is certainly being tested right now. Interesting times.

The coins from the strait corner tray are consistent in thickness.
The ones from the rounder corner tray appear to vary in thickness when looking round the edge of the same coin.
The round corner tray is also the ones with the loosely fitting capsules.
That's not to say if you have a round corner tray its fake, i think there are genuine variances in the trays. From that link in my other post someone mentioned that there are a lot of reproductions of the round corner version though.
I'm still not 100% as i don't have the thickness gauge and they do look very identical. Still going to send them back. Will keep you posted.
You can see the different in the capsules from the position of the notches in this photo. the loosely fitting one is on the left its just the photo/lighting make the one on the right look fake.
