  1. If gold prices are 1 million an oz then the bullion dealers will absolutely be in business.
  2. Wtf no bullion? From RM? The same RM who love to produce the same coin in every variation known to man so they can milk us punters for all we are worth? If so they’ve missed a trick there 🤷‍♂️
  3. I was in Bath a few years ago, before i owned an oz of gold. There was a “gold” exhibition on at the museum and some of the peices were thousands of years old. Some a absolutely mind blowing artifacts were there. Found a picture i took:
  4. Interested to see how good these are if you get a chance do a post or video with how you get on with it! Merry Christmas!
  5. Some bedtime/throne reading. Merry Christmas all!
  6. I bought a brand new top spec ford transit in 2018 for £19500 + VAT. A 2018 same spec model with around 30,000 miles on currently sells for around £20000 + VAT. I feel at the moment there is almost a culture of people throwing money at things and pushing up the prices. I see it with everything. Property, Watches, Gold (proof), Some cars, even particular shares and crypto have boomed due to people throwing money at it - the list goes on. The money being thrown at these items is often down to cheap debt. The rug can and will be pulled out and being liquid in these times is going to be useful for survival but also useful for jumping on the opportunities dire times presents.
  7. I’m under 35 and wouldn’t say I’ve experienced a full on recession in my adult life i was 18 in 2008 and think it’s a good question put forward by @dicker. It seems obvious that gold will always sell but when the brown stuff hits the fan like in 2008 and everyone is selling it’s good to know who’s buying and how easily. If everyone goes to the proverbial pawn shop to sell at the same time and no one is buying i assume only those with very deep pockets can survive. I’ve invested across most asset classes and they’ve only ever gone up - not in a straight line - but still up so definitely wouldn’t say I’ve experienced a full on recession. I hope diversity is the key in such hard times. I’d also be interested to know the answer to dicker’s question as i see gold a back up should it be needed!
  8. @Booky586 thannks! @Dan12345 that’s who i got them from! Good guy!
  9. The tubes are air tite and the capsules i use are lighthouse/lechtrum. Although i would probably just stick the the air tite tubes and capsules as the lighthouse ones i have bought recently have been rubbish for some reason. Think I bought the tubes on the forum but can’t remember who from! Think they’re also available on ebay.
  10. Decided to keep 20 of the proof coins. Going to sell the rest think i know someone willing to pay a small premium. Will probably sell the 20 eventually to trade for gold but not in a rush and nice to have a little silver!
  11. Haha to be honest i was given about 35 ounces of silver from a family member recently. The 20 are proofs that i may or may not keep, you can see them on a thread “look at all this silver” I’ve kept the rest back to sell. If i do sell the other 20 I’ll just put the money into couple sovereigns.
  12. It’s getting to that point now where i look and think wow that’s nice lol. From small acorns etc
  13. Not much of a pic as always feel a bit rushed at the SDB but bit of an update to end the year. 41.6 oz Gold 20 oz Silver
  14. Picked up these two today which completes another tube! Only got a couple of these victorias so pleased to add it to the stack. Tubes hold 17 Sovereigns which is pretty much bang on 4ozt. Off to the the SDB tomorrow, will start a again with an empty tube!
  15. Thanks! I stand corrected and apologise! I was sure it was H&B but must have got mixed up!
  16. Can’t win em’ all @Paul but i wish you the best of luck!
  17. Good question. Depends on a few factors including price but thinking about getting a a fair few more bullion sovs. Mostly 2022 but will get some mixed dates aswel. Thinking about 9oz worth as that will hit a bit of a milestone. Also be nice to get a BLNR but got a feeling 2022 won’t be the year lol
  18. Someone remind me what the issue was with H&B last year or the year before? The owner ended up with all his details on here including a picture of him sat in the back of an ambulance lol. Think there was then some new ghost accounts defending him. Was it that the orders took ages to come or something? From memory all orders were completed in the end.
