I like the clean reverse. It's always carried a premium and you don't often see them. 

@silverin Nice. The mintage seems quite low for those years.

And the CBR page says they only minted 100.000 for the 2015 coins and it looks like they've been on hold for a few years.
so I think these might a good series to look out for (?)

Bought 2x of these, premium was pretty steep tho for these but curiosity got to me.
The CBR coin database looks pretty organized.

These came today, it's all over I have the Panda bug.

Although by most measures the stock markets are expensive, there is still one measure by which they are reasonable: yield. There are still big blue chips with a dividend of 3.5 to 5% which is much higher than anything you can get in a safe bond. The crucial question is whether these companies can maintain their dividends during the coming year. The oil companies clearly cannot. If others, such as pharma and retail, follow suit then there is a long way to fall.

There's never a bad time to buy a shield.

My first shield back. At current gold spot the premium was lower than normal. That's what I told myself....

I don't think this is gold's time to shine yet, it'll drop back a fair bit. It does, however, show you how twitchy investors are getting with world stocks, bonds, oil etc.
Expect more volatilty.

Don't worry there is bound to be another smack down.

Had a closer inspection of my 2015 Britannia Ram privy and it appears slightly distorted just above the '9 position. Doesn't roll too well!
There are a few scuff marks near the privy marks also and a few little knocks on the edges in places.. You would have thought that the Royal Mint would take more care in producing a coin which has a lower mintage. Their manufacturing quality controller must have had a day off.
The others I have in this series of privy marks seem o.k.

today i bought..... i getting seriously addicted to this now!!! i just bought a 2014 silver 1oz panda. in a slab from PCGS MS69 FIRST STRIKE 10Yn. i paid £25.99 delivered. i this a good price? did i do well or to? any feedback would be great. i now have the 2013, 2014 and 2016 versions in this

Something a bit different - a few lovely old square silver dirhams dating  from the Almohad dynasty that ruled over North Africa and Southern Spain from 1130-1269. 20p for comparison allows you to see the detail and size! Just fun to have when we all think of early Victorian coins as "old"..

More 1 oz proof kooks, the embyonic collection is starting to take shape.

 

Price seems to be on the upwards. Was hoping to buy a gold coin, but will probably wait until next month to see if the price falls back down to lows.
