  1. On a brighter note, I’ve likely saved you from disappearing down the Medal Rabbit hole 😂
  2. A nicely toned Silver King George V 1935 Silver Jubilee Medal in its original card box. Thanks @matt1r 👍
  3. A lovely Silver Piedfort Queen’s Coronation 60th Anniversary Portrait Set 🤩. Only 697 of these sets were issued. Reverse by James Butler is a beautiful take on the Royal Arms. Also today, a couple of stragglers from the Royal Mint 👍 😃
  4. I see the RM have sorted out the photos of the Silver Proof Annual Set: https://www.royalmint.com/our-coins/ranges/annual-sets/2022-annual-coin-sets/the-2022-united-kingdom-silver-proof-coin-set/
  5. Occasionally something drops on the doormat that simply takes your breath away. This Raised Edge Proof variety of the stylized designed 1935 Crown has just taken my breath away, with its lovely Cameo and clear Fields 😃
  6. I’m out then- far too many- particularly if Matte- initial impetus then a nosedive.
  7. Hopefully they won't kill the SOTD with a mintage akin to that of the Brexit
  8. I would guess so. I would very much doubt there will be a 1/4oz Gold- but what do I know 🤷‍♂️ I started out telling myself to buy the Premium Proof set- but bought the Silver Proof- I love it when a plan comes together 😂 The 2021 was a 550 too- I can't remember how long that took to sell out, but certainly not in a day like this one! Unprecedented I would say.
  9. There's always more coming- but you knew that already 😂 Her Majesty on the Horse is coming- as an individual coin on the 7th isn't it?- likely available in many denominations from £5 upwards. The spotty IT youth has just leaked the design 😂
  10. Or perhaps I'll be getting some massive £500 coin in my Silver Proof Set- maybe they'll realise when they can't shut the lid on the presentation case! 😂
  11. Exactly- they have completely bamboozled people with their incompetence and personally, I think the Silver Proof and the Silver Piedfort set would have sold out faster- only people would have been put off by their silliness.
  12. They got it right on the Premium Proof Cupronickel set at least!
  13. In terms of the Silver Proof set- like I said earlier, the Specifications blurb of the Silver Proof set cites the Jody Clark Obverse and the John Bergdahl Reverse- plain lettered edge- and in the photographs they cite photos of a 500 Pound denomination 🤯. Amateurs! I think a spotty faced IT guy has just got the photos mixed up! 😂
  14. Yes, I think the RM have completely messed up the photographs of the £5 as the Specifications cite the £5 Silver Proof having the Jody Clark Obverse and the John Berdahl Reverse like you expected.
  15. Every year I resolve to buy the Premium Proof Cupronickel Set but never get around to it 😂. They are great value 👍 This special occasion year I’m buying the Premium Set, to get my Jody Clark fix! And this alongside the forthcoming £5 individual Silver Proof with Her Majesty on Horseback. The Premium Proof Set is a beautiful presentation for only £210. I look at it this way, the wooden box must be worth £20 and free postage if you order by phone must be worth a tenner- so that leaves £180 for 13 coins and a medal- that’s an average of £12.85 per coin! Absolute Bargain and a wonderful momento 👍
  16. Perhaps try this site: http://www.silvercollection.it/DENMARKSILVERMAKERSW.html
  17. To round off 2021 some Silver. Thanks @matt1r and @Fivepoundfred 😃
  18. @Dawnbreaker- Further to my earlier post- careful if you are still interested in the items you describe above, as I suspect that Nixon medal might well be Gold plate:
  19. Melt value. Thats my appraisal. I don’t think they are worth anymore than melt, and I personally wouldn’t buy them at melt. If I was you, I would walk away.
  20. Nice one 👍 The 1953’s were all nice coins- I bottled it with the Sixpence 🙄
  21. More so, the 2019 Victoria SOTD Sovereign but also the 2019 Albert SOTD were well received and popular in the Matte finish and Plain Edge.
