What a lovely day to sort through a new batch of shields. These are in particularly nice grade so excited!

First Empress in my new collection: Colonial Silver Rupees. Have a few other rupees but this is my first Victoria. Shame it’s not great quality but still, lovely coins

Pyromet Silver Credit Card 1oz silver.  I don't know why I bought it, I don't particularly like the idea and there is little design detail in it but I just saw it for sale a good bit cheaper than everyone else was asking for it and thats the only reason I went for it and even then it's still not a particularly cheap oz of silver.

1888 bullion Sovereign

Passed on to me by a relation yesterday, family heirloom:

First Britannia received! 2016 1/4 oz gold Britannia...really cool design, even though I am still partial to the 2003 design.

Received my exquisite 1885M Young Head Shield Gold Sovereign from the venerable “@Numistacker Collection”...hopefully some of the proceeds went towards his beautiful 1887 Proof Sovereigns! Thanks Numi!

I’m really enjoying collecting both the slabs and the mint packaged silver quarter ATBs. 

Pretty excited about these... 3 X 5oz "Pucks" from Swiss of America. Properly chunky vintage pieces. You can see how big they are compared to a 1oz monarch!

Funny you mention the dos pesos, I just got one from ebay to replace one I sold years back.  Great little coin, got it close to spot, plan to slab it to go with the other vintage Mexico gold coins I have:

I got this 1873-S while ago but only just taken photos. Pity about the scratch on the neck.

Quite pleased to be the first to find this error date, being such a common year with so much variety I'm quite surprised nobody else has found one and hope that means it's even more rare

Some more shields

A 2018 Britannia w/ oriental border and 1911 sovereign.  My first sovereign!  I've been a fan of the 20 franc coins and their equivalents from other member countries of the Latin Monetary Union, and I've picked up about half a dozen of those.  But I have to admit the extra little heft to the sovereigns, along with the different designs over the years is very appealing.  I think my money is going to be spread around a bit more.  Thanks a lot for the new addiction guys!
