Earlier years seem much more affordable, I can't believe how expensive this year was! I meant to add a proof to my order but forgot before they shipped my order

I collect the proofs but I actually think the BU looks better this year.

Cheers - I'm very jealous, I think the mirrored field on the proof really makes the design!

Ohw that's the proof version my friend. It's not a card, but the box from the proof coin.

Thanks buddy I meant the square card up top left (without the coin). I bought four of the carded versions and didn't get one of those!

You have 2 versions of the BU Kangaroo. You have the seperate BU coins and the BU's in a special coin card which is a bit more popular amongst the Roo collectors. Given the fact that the difference in price was not a lot i bought 3 carded versions instead of the loose coin. Hope this helps!

@PolarPanda glad to hear you like the Roos! What's that square Seasons Change card (a booklet perhaps?) out of interest? I ordered four but didn't get one of those!

Here are Perth Mint's definition of Proofs Bu's and Specimen coins,I've added a few coins to hopefully clarify things, the proofs are all on the left of the photos

    Proof Coin
The very highest quality collectable coin produced by The Perth Mint.  Featuring a proof finish comprising a highly-polished table with frosted and/or coloured design elements.
    Bullion Coin
A mass produced coin primarily aimed at precious metal investors. Finished with shiny design elements on a frosted table.

    Specimen Coin
A collectable coin akin to a bullion coin with a frosted table, but also featuring one or more special numismatic treatments, including colour, gilding, antiquing, or the insertion of gems.

RAM's interpretations of proof and Bu,s also known as UNC/uncirculated.

    Proof
A carefully struck coin using special dies with either a mirror‑like or matt finish. These coins are especially struck and the term is not used to describe a well‑preserved circulating coin. Proof is a method of manufacture, not a condition or grade.
      Uncirculated (UNC)
Uncirculated coins are manufactured in much the same way as circulated coins except for the following:
More attention and time is given to the preparation of the die surface finish, The coins are struck with greater pressure than the circulating coins to improve the sharpness of the design. More care and attention is applied at each step in the coining process to minimise damage, consequently a much lower production rate of about 30,000 coins per press per day is achieved. Uncirculated coins are packaged individually into plastic sleeves, presentation folders or occasionally presentation cases.

I hope this helps clarify things.

Wouldn't you prefer the three RMC bars flanked by the J&M bars for symmetry reasons? And then the Baird to go with the umicores? Or swap a Baird for a umicore or vice versa? Decisions, decosions... I guess you need another pluck foam insert once this matter is sorted ?

@kimchi- yes indeed, the 69 is better than the 66...but I got spoiled earlier in the series as I have 3 perfect MS70 1/4 QB Lions and one MS69?. I may try to offer up one of those Lion 70s to trade for a 70 in the Griffin.
