Costco at Wembley are usually not that good with their bullion pricing but I noticed this sovereign today at this price.

Went into my local bullion dealers shop in town for a half sovereign. Picked this 1909. Had a look through his scrap coins bag and picked out a couple of cheap foreign coins, not sure what they are or where from. He threw in the Dutch 2 1/2 Guliders coin for free.

I can't remember how it came to be honest. Ones like this usually come in a carded collection where you add the next coin in the series. I've ordered a few in the past of previous series but never followed up with them. -
I haven't tried bartering with silver but I'm sure the same mechanic would be interested in doing a deal at some point.
