BanjoJeff got a reaction from Lolski01 in 2018 1/10th oz Britannia Gold Coins (Baby Brits)
Does that mean I have to have a pair of 2018 1oz Brits to be the parents before I can give these a home?

I agree that the likes of YouTube will create crazy ideas to some that they'll become overnight millionaires.
Bit patronising.
Asking questions are fine, but you're pretty rude at times tbh

All the above are antique audio format, Flac is far superior but it has one drawback.
Unlike vinyl, you cant make an ashtray out of it

Sounds exactly like Boeing. At least the Royal Mint products aren't so safety critical!

BanjoJeff got a reaction from TapiaSTKAu in [TRADE] 2x Royal Mint 5g Gold Bars
Recently started a moderate collection of 2024 world silver coins for a newborn, hopefully with a couple of fractional golds for special occasions. Gifts for years, and hopefully a future knowledge of PMs, finances, and appreciation of coins. Fairly new to this but loving giving PMs as gifts aready as well.

BanjoJeff reacted to paulmerton in Today I Received.....
Oh no! I've been scammed (although probably not on purpose)
Despite the paperwork indicating that all of the coins are struck in sterling silver, they are all cupronickel according to my sigma tester (the smallest two denominations are aluminium).
How disappointing! Goes to show you should never rely on a COA alone, though.

BanjoJeff reacted to paulmerton in going to car boot soon. what to look out for
Most people seem to use google to search Numista, rather than using Numista's own search features.
e.g. search for "numista uk 1942 florin"
My biggest boot sale faux pas was rummaging through a tray of coins on a table and then abruptly discovering that it was the seller's float 🤣

BanjoJeff got a reaction from Wampum in Boring question
My current approach is to put most coins in capsules, but I havea couple that are the ones I take out for handling when the fancy takes me. Usually not the worst but definitely not the best, ones that make me feel happy to handle. Got to take some pleasure from the ownership along the way.
