I am responding to a report that these items may no longer be for sale. Please can you confirm if they are or aren't currently for sale?

This topic seems to have diverged into a discussion, but it is a trade topic. Please let me know if it is or isn't for sale. I will put on moderation approval atm so that any unsolicited posts not relating to the sale can be hidden. If it is indeed withdrawn from sale please let me know and we can update to the correct tag and close it :)

    Hi Chris Morning,

Still for sale but possibly not soon. Waiting on confirmation will email you to close the thread if okay by end of Friday?

Read this back again twice and then ask yourself, why did you not take the £11000 that was offered.  For a measly extra £350, you were asking, you walk away from £11k.  Makes zero sense to me.  There are silver buyers who after 16 years are still sitting on massive lose who were unlucky to have bought when it was trading at almost $50oz.

Me, I would have taken the 11k  and moved on.  Good luck to you.

Like everything I had a minimum figure I would sell for, its not me needing the money it's the fact that I don't wanna store it due to the house sale. However, worse comes to worse I have a family member who can take care of it.

  3. I sold 12 oz of Gold 2 weeks ago but I needed the money fast (had a juicy share I had my eye on) got it done and dusted in 45 mins all cash in Hatton Gardens with a friend of mine who has a shop there. Unfortunately they have no interest in silver 😂 am I surprised? Not in the least. I know silver is what it is.  Even spoke to silver trader who's a top block over the weekend who was helping me find a link. Bought a few bits of him. I may just keep the damn box for now as I'm taking a bit hit with these offers.

My offer is still up, we can settle it today, I know is lower than your requested price but you can have the money in one hour.

Hi mate thanks but can't go that much lower, if you can do £11300 it's yours

Probably the best thing to do in the current market, you investment will only increase in time.

I feel so too, I think with the world elections around the corner and interest rates set to drop it will result in silver going up bit by bit

Can I ask... was this opened and snapped for the pictures? First thing I notice is that these two are rotated by 90 degrees.
What sort of human does that? Where is the QC to ensure symmetry or conformity? My OCD is now triggered :D

I knew someone was going to mention that lol was waiting...

I had to take them all out individually and my lazy ass did not align them correctly but was very careful holding them like a baby 😄 but yeah think now you said it my ocd will start kicking in and ill do it today at somepoint.

Unfortunately premiums on silver are currently the lowest I've ever seen them

I am selling ounces at under 15% premium and even then only slowly

I would offer £11000 for the monster box including delivery. I know that is lower than you'd like but the option is there.

£11560? They are sealed so you can probably sell them for more..yeah I know I'll be taking a hit but with the house sale I don't have much of a choice atm

Your minimum price target should be spot + 20% ( to include VAT paid ) so £590 per tube of 25.
A dealer will only give you spot and most a bit less so this isn't a good route for you.

I would never take a chance on SD shipping goods substantially above their insurance limit.
You may find in the small print that doing so invalidates any insurance.

Selling at £590 should attract lots of buyers on this site and hopefully they will move fairly quickly.
Unfortunately as you are in a rush to sell all your silver then you will need to take the hit on price.
If you can hold out longer then ask for higher prices.

Would do £580 plus Postage per tube and that way can get positive feedback

There are a few dealers in here it would be worth messaging. Perhaps @theman73 @Auronum and others...

If you're wanting to go down the online dealer route most list their prices such as...

    https://atkinsonsbullion.com/sell-to-us/silver/silver-coins/1oz-silver-coins/pre-owned-post-2012-uk-britannia-1oz-silver-coin-vat-free

Thanks mate, will reach put to them. Atkinsons I'll be making a loss though even though I bought from them.

Interesting to note that no central banks hold silver. The last real stockpiles (beyond industrial or bullion brokers) went when silver stopped being used for circulating coinage in the 1960s/70s.

I found this recent article quite insightful, I think with the current funds going into crypto and shares this also has a downward effect on silver but this won't continue in the medium/long term I suspect.

My idea behind buying some Silver was to hold it at least 10 years.

That would be a good amount of time to hold it, I have a decent stack of silver mostly Brits but also some 10 oz bars but the last few years I been focusing more on gold now.

  11. Silver is more a industrial metal, will be a long term hold but much of it's swings depends on economic conditions. Central banks are hoarding gold but a mixture of both leaning more to the gold ratio.
