Hi guys! I'm the original RBG and I'm here but now I will only post from time to time on the "bought/received" threads. I will also try not to give too much exact information of my stack

Shame about RBG, I liked him.     Voice was great on the stack video's too.

Today I received a 1988 Australian $2 proof, courtesy of Motorbikez and the Christmas raffle.

I am tempted to open the capsule to hold......but being a proof I imagine I would hear the collectors screams from here

    Just grabbed a 1/10 Britannia @ 3% over spot (£80.66) and a 20 Franc @ 3% over spot (150.58) at Hatton Gardens.

Will post up some pics tomorrow when they get delivered.

Current fine weight total is now 898.84g or 28.9 troy oz of the shiny yellow stuff

A summary graph of cost per Oz for my purchases, red line is current spot price -

The valaurium notes throw out the cost per oz figure but only actually cost me £6.96 per note,  those lunars dont come cheap either

Quite happy the cheap stuff is hovering just above or below spot and the premium stuff like the lunars and old panda's will recover the premium fairly easily.

Some nice 1.5 Oz Polar bears. A nice thick coin, and not as sickeningly cute as other 'bear' coins available

A couple of Swiss 20 Francs from HGM.  Was supposed to be French but they listed it incorrectly but I went ahead with the order anyway.  I do like the stars on the edging.

Just shelled out £171.90 for 10 x RM Lunar Horses from The Bullion Centre. I know its a couple of quid more than Bairds, but I can't be arsed with the antiquated payment rigmarole they put you through at Bairds. (part payment by card, part by bank transfer). If they can't be bothered to move into the 21st century, and allow full payment either by card OR by bank transfer, then I'm not going to give them any of my business.

Any way rant over. I think these lunars are going to steadily rise in price, so I'm going to pick them up wherever I can. I've now got 22 of them, and will get more next time I have a bit of cash.

It's a strange world where buying a silver coin in the UK works out 25% cheaper than buying from STG. Usually it's the other way round..........
