  1. Argos is an eBay collection point. That's used for people who can't accept deliveries at home for any reason. They can collect from Argos at any time.
  2. Sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the VAT exemption code is 03005. The commodity code for gold coins is 7118 9000 00. Use the phrase 'investment gold coin' in the description if you want it to pass through customs easily. Commodity code 7118900000: Other - UK Integrated Online Tariff - GOV.UK (trade-tariff.service.gov.uk)
  3. I've been after a 2oz QB for a while. 10oz looks great but out of my reach I'm afraid. However, if you do withdraw the 10oz and would like to sell that small bar separately, feel free to message me a price. 🙂
  4. I've been waiting for the next Bond coin, will be interested to see the design of that one. 🙂 Was hoping there'd be another Bond bar produced by now as well! (PS - thanks! Run out of reactions for today lol.)
  5. I've read a few threads on here about this happening lately. Seems to be quite a few banks. And quite a few retailers. Has made me very cautious about trying to buy from a 'new' site now, or even sellers on here. I'm hoping accounts I've paid before wouldn't suddenly become blocked. I have recently opened a dispute with my bank about a retailer (not ATS lol, this one wasn't my fault!) and I am now wondering if that may cause other peoples payments from my bank to that retailer to get blocked during or after the resolution period. 🤔
  6. If you're just selling to a dealer for around spot price then it shouldn't matter. If selling privately, I find 1oz silver and 1/10th gold sells easiest, presumably down to affordability. Anything with a great design & quality should sell easily - Perth mint & China Panda's for example. Pop culture can sell well but maybe not by the time your sons inherit them so best to stick to animals instead.
  7. Given that this site benefits from advertising and memberships, I think they'd prefer that we did talk about it! 😄
  8. Bump for non premium members.
  9. Well, that's got to be the worst design of this series so far. 😐
  10. Even without the error, the finish on these is pretty rough, I've seen quite a few milky ones already as well. Shame as it's meant to be a nice reminder of a one-off occasion, as opposed to something like a Brit that looks the same for years on end. They should have asked Perth mint to produce them! 😄 Would probably have added a nice frosted background to make the design pop too!
  11. I had to laugh at a homemade COA I was provided with last year. Bought the coin as it was cheap enough to gamble on. The COA is literally just a business card with a copy & paste image and a random signature, plus a holographic sticker that can be bought in their hundreds from eBay or Amazon. The seller couldn't even be bothered to use the correct sized capsule, it's massively oversized. The coin itself does appear to be genuine, but if I ever get a Sigma, I won't be surprised if it isn't. I like a COA from well known retailers in a box with a proof coin, but for anything else, I don't put any faith in a COA. I also have a few autographs with homemade COA's and wouldn't trust those either.
  12. Hi, I'm looking to buy a 1953 Canada silver dollar. It will be a gift so needs to be in good condition, preferably minimal wear and tarnishing, and would be a bonus if it came well presented in a fitted capsule. Not in any rush for this one but budget is limited. I don't get much time on the forum at the moment so please drop me a private message and I'll get back to you within 24 hours. Thanks Minted
  13. Thanks for the courier confirmation. In the end I decided I couldn't justify the cost for a new one with the VAT as well. They are nice coins but I think they've pushed the premium too far on them. I'll keep an eye out for a second hand one instead. 🙂
  14. Must admit, I'm happy with mine. Though I haven't directly compared it to any of the older ones. Maybe I'll just keep it totally separate after seeing the difference in yours. 😄
  15. Looks like they spent all of about 10 minutes on MS Paint making that. 😄
  16. I think it may be a figment of your imagination. I can only see the crowned portrait on 1oz Britannia's in either gold or silver. No fractionals.
  17. 2023 Charles III 1/4oz Gold Britannia | BullionByPost - From £423.40 (Edit - Sorry, not that one either. Not crowned portrait. Releasing bullion 'Coronation' coins as well as bullion Brits with a Coronation portrait has made things complicated.)
  18. It's not only the vouchers that don't apply to the coin category, we no longer earn any Nectar points at all from coin purchases on eBay. 😞
  19. Brilliant design! Clearly put some thought into modernising the old one for modern day convenience. 🙂 I'd be interested in one later in the year. Reckon you'd get plenty of interest selling these on eBay as well.
