Hello I am new to this forum and to be honest I’m new to any forum!
ebay has been rubbish for me for a while now and where I live in the south west England there is no shops for any kind of coin collecting.
I have been watching YouTube and backyard bullion for a few years now and also loads of others have been pointing in this direction so I thought I would give it a go.

I would love to design my own coins.. wouldn’t that be brilliant.. I watch also spegtacular/coin guy in America and they did it!
If only we could get some of the silver Americans can get! my house would be full of silver!! 😂

I still think of myself as a newbie,but I guess checking my profile might suggest that I am almost a trusted member for some! 
I believe that there is no absolute answer to your question, it’s different for everyone.  You have to decide on YOUR own personal instinct and preparedness to trust people.
common sense would suggest that people who have been here a while are more likely to be here for a while longer, I believe that the overwhelming majority of people here are trustworthy, but I wouldn’t send a load of money to someone with a poor feedback record.
if you are in doubt, FaceTime them or ask for proof of identity.
but for balance I just traded with a member for the first time this month for what I would consider a significant amount, purely on their feedback and rating, they were a great seller and I would not hesitate to trade with them again.
 If you want zero risk and a sterile trade , buy from a recognised commercial trader (I often do) but if you want some fun, great camaraderie, unusual opportunities and a wee bargain now and then, use good judgment and trade here, I have found it to be nothing but honourable, and great fun.
also some of the fine chaps and chapesses on here have helped me no end with great guidance  (with a special mention to @James32 ) I cannot but recommend the site to all. 
 
be careful but enjoy and trade away.

I think one of the most important thing that I am noticing on here is all is United on stopping it which is positive and comforting. 
 
I would love a list of sellers that are good and trustworthy and stick to them sellers for the moment… @backyard bullion is the only one I know of so far to trust and any other name drops would be welcome?

Ok yes I understand how that could happen, no worries people maybe don’t do that.. i will find my own way and learn myself.

I had an incident on eBay recently a bit like the sweat thing on here, I won’t say too much but more of a p… take than sweats.
I like the idea of this community and I can see you do hunt the bad so feeling better.

This is sad harsh truth and probably more adverse impacts on forums growth in long term.
Particularly concerning is this narrative of trusting reputation points (engagement,likes etc) 
more points doesn't make someone more honourable does it? To me, it shows they prioritise engaging on the forum more than others
