Here's my collection, started this year after cycling out of crypto. Got a 5Kg bar currently on order and then I'm done.

Majority of the gold stack. My other deposit box doesn't have quite as much although it's catching  

Slower progress now after a busy first month

My silver collection so far. Started a few months ago. I want to get a 1 ounce bullion coin from every country which issues them, an ASE and a Panda might be next month's acquisitions 

My stack as of end of Q3 - A bit of Bullion - Brits, Maples, Krugs, Dollaridoos and Phillies, some Perth Mint, RM and Germania collectibles and a bit of gold, plus a copper bar.  Now largely focusing on gold as I have about 80oz of silver.

Interesting to have these strategies/preferences if you can afford them, and you obviously can, but I suspect most TSF members are less ambitious. 

I’ve often referred to ‘plastic coffins’ myself, only because I don’t do grading and prefer to keep proofs in their original capsules.
My ‘core’ bullion is split between sovereigns and 1oz gold, but 1/4 size proofs I find more enjoyable to collect now. Over the years I’ve collected almost everything, like betting on every runner in a horse race perhaps, but not for money!

As I’m already retired, my gold doesn’t figure in funding my lifestyle, just possessing it is my real attachment. I guess we are all different…..👍

I don’t really see gold and silver as investments, they’re savings accounts to me, there is 0 chance they will ever fall to nil. They don’t generate wealth and capital like other investments they hold it and preserve it. I hope to keep my stuff for at least 10-15 years god forbid something happen.

Here's my 1870 half sovereign (die 4), Marsh 445A (R4)
Identifiers (as per Marsh, other online sources also referring to 'Marsh 445A' in their descriptions) - coarse beading around edges, no shield dot on centre line, 98 denticles obverse, 101 denticles reverse, I in REGINA pointing between two denticles, bust slightly to left, nose pointing between T and O in VICTORIA.
