  1. I don't understand either! I can't in good conscience take it below spot so I'll at least pay that. I'm also fine if you'd rather hold on to it. 👍
  2. Bought from a dear friend who knew I had my eye on it for a while!
  3. Lovely condition 1347 Pahlavī (1968, if I'm not mistaken) - https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces29163.html
  4. Thanks for the suggestion. I did that and also enabled two-step verification for everything else. They even told me there's no issues with my account and it's an automatic trigger for any high-value purchases. In-between trying to buy some coins (we're talking the value of a sovereign), I purchased a couple of very expensive computer items and had absolutely no issues with those.
  5. I've never sold on eBay but there has been perhaps three instances where I put the highest bid with like 20 seconds to go only to have had the bid blocked by them. So the item has gone for substantially less. I can't see how that's fair on the sellers at all. They're making less money which is why I guess they keep all of these 'policies' under wraps and you only get an idea of what's happening through other users discussing matters on the forums. Like @andrewse said, contacting them is next to useless.
  6. I used to use the Nectar promotions and buy the odd coin but then eBay started blocking bids I made so I lost out a bunch of times. Perfect feedback, always paid on time, and same account for over 20 years. I was told it was for my own safety - the usual nonsense because they didn't block any high value purchases outside of the metals. Only ever happens with the metals. Dug a little deeper - happening to a lot of people. Back to Nectar - my Nectar card was then disconnected from my account. Again, no reason given. Have to contact Nectar/Sainsbury's and just can't be bothered anymore so I guess that suits them fine.
  7. At least I now know what mine are gonna look like in another hundred years
  8. Gotta give him his props here. Although he's previously mocked my manicured nails and thinks I'm a Karen, he's been very generous with his time and helped me too. I'm sure many of us can say the same. Of course, this doesn't mean I like him. Integrity, honesty and a willingness to help ain't all that so don't get a fat head, James.
  9. I don't agree. Gold is going down the shitter! You'll all panic if you know what's good for you. Sell, sell, sell everyone! By the way, I'm buying at the moment so if anyone has any good deals just let me know
  10. That's a cracking price and one of my fave coins. Absolute monster to hold! Too many bills this month or I would have bitten off your hand.
  11. Hi, I have a certain anniversary coming up so if you're looking to sell any nice rings with full British hallmarks and size J, J1/2, or K (or either side as I guess they could fit the other fingers ) then do get in touch! Cheers!
  12. Cheers! Definitely my sort of thing but currently holding out a set I have my eye on 👍
  13. lol, this was bloody crazy. No chance of keeping up
  14. I have been summonsed! £21.83
