Hello dear friends, here are a few new acquisitions from the past. A mixture of kitsch and serious issues, I love both. Greetings from Maxe.
I left the more expensive colour edition in its original shrink-wrap.

A load of sovs, 3 Gillicks and and Ed.
Finally got around to taking pics of these sovs from @Charliemouse and @Belmont, -1957, 1964 and 1965 Gillicks and a 1906 Edward VII sov, nice high resolution photos. With the 1957 and 1964 I've got a complete Gillick date run now. I suppose I shall do a photo essay of the date run and put it up on the sovereign photos thread at some point.
1957 Gillick
1964 Gillick
1965 Gillick
1906 Edward VII
Bonus 1915 George V.
I decided to liberate this from its slab, so here it now is, free to roam.

Go 1872 then, more options there.
The coin will always be a century older than you, and still look better than you in a century

I always welcome medals, as long as they are made of pure silver, my dear silver friends. Greetings from Maxe.

I've got to say after getting my new parcel from @SilverTrader today my views on Germania have not changed, can you even get better for bullion rounds?

I would be very sad not to have such pieces in my collection. The Komsco from South Korea is definitely one of my favourites. Greetings from Maxe.

These are just such high quality coins. The level of finish and consistent quality for this price point is excellent. Thanks @arphethean.

GBStacking got a reaction from Muncle in A buying dilemma
Honestly, i think in this instance the safe and boring option will be the best. Go for more Sov's as cheap as you can find them. CGT exempt, larger market when you come to sell and something you are already familiar with. I hold a number of 1oz coins but thankfully all well below what spot is now so if i had to out it to a dealer then i would still make profit. My gold buying strategy going forward is bullion Sov's for all the reasons above. The other thing to consider is being able to liquidate smaller amounts as and when you need to. It's not so painful to have to sell 1 Sov in a market dip to pay a retirement bill that wont wait as it would be to have to liquidate a whole Oz because you need a small amount of it's value.
