Well, well,well. I do love the education system we have today. About a week ago, I spotted a 1981 sovereign on an ebay auction, spelled "soveriegn". Starting bid of £195, So I bid that amount, thinking oh well someone else will spot it, but you never know.
But they didn't...
Another cheapie to add to the stack.

Arrived this morning. 

Interesting day today, just shaken hands on a deal with my cash for gold guy, who is going to hold back any sterling silver cutlery / flatware for me for about 5% or less over spot, and picked up on Ebay tonight 33.5 ozt of sterling for under spot at £10.35 an oz , (had an unexpected end of year work bonus, which lasted less than 48 hours in my pocket  )
 
 

Few bits from the local coin guy

Good day today, Went to the Giant Fleamarket in Shepton Mallet. Picked up an 1893 Veiled head Half Sov for £105, (less than HGM prices) and came back to find a cheeky bid I placed on an Ebay auction that finished during the day had been successful. So I won 570g of sterling silver spoons and ladles for a princely sum of £147, or in old money that's 16.95 oz at £8.67 an oz. Well thats me done for the month, all PM money has been maxed out      

This may upset the coin purists, but I decided to up my physical stack with the addition of 4 sterling silver table spoons from Ebay, weighing in at the equivalent of 9.36 oz, for £117.40 delivered. Averaging out at £12.54 an oz. Seeing as two of them were Exeter silver, (I've a little collection of Exeter silver starting), I'm very pleased with the price paid.
Slowly getting rid of my high premium crappy coins, and bringing my average down. 
I actually like flatware and cutlery, unlike coins, where the collectors get heart palpatations when you mention the word Goddards, I can clean my spoons until my hearts content and most of the time it will actually improve the value of an item.
